You really need Boots of Speed & 3/4 Health Potions to last against most solo-tops. With your set-up you're going full on glass canon, nothing wrong with that, I don't prefer it. You can go use that rune set-up. Armor Seals good for top. Only drawback is you don't have your second passive if you're forced to choose another item. Which you will need to do the majority of the time. I used to use Boots of Swiftness a lot too. But I learned Mercury Treads/ Ninja Tabi exceed the viability of what Boots of Swiftness can give you. The problem with your set-up is you need a Doran's Blade to proc your second passive. It gives you no flexibility what so ever in starting items. I get atleast 10 kills a game with Akali and may only die at a maximum of 3-5 times, depending on how long the game goes. I couldn't begin to count the number of 20+ kills, 5 deaths games i've had because of this guide. I appreciate this guide very much and I would just like to say thank you! Although I do have one thought to throw out there.. I do enjoy getting Mejis Soulstealer every game, cause once you get 20 stacks its GG for everyone. Quote \| PM \| +Rep by nanoobit » April 26, 2012 7:37pm \| Report You know a serious thing to consider is swapping some points from other places in your masteries, mainly Archmage and Blast and put the points into Weapon Expertise , since Lich Bane and a lot of akali's damage ends up being physical.
