Introduction

Updates 1-26-2011
-New chapters called "Playing As Akali" added.
-New chapters called "FAQ" added.

Welcome to my Akali build.
When I started playing Akali, I thought maybe I should try playing with Mejai's Soulstealer and Sword of the Occult since they can stacks, and it was pretty awesome, my scores turned out great. And then I thought, maybe I should share with everyone so you guys can try it out. :)

Early Game (Lv 1~6):
I grab a Doran's Blade (which will activitates one of your passive skills) + a Health Potion and head out to top or bottom lane. I harras, farm as much as I can and gank also. Then I head back to base when I have about 1,000~1,600 golds

Mid Game (Lv 7~11):
I grab a Boots of Speed and a Mejai's Soulstealer or Sword of the Occult (your choice).
Choose a lane to gank and grab as much as assist to start working on the stacks.

Late Game (Lv 12~18):
I finish up all my six items and well starting fighting as a team, push lanes or destroy turret.

Runes

Greater Mark of Desolation - Great for armor penetration.
Greater Seal of Alacrity- Awesome attack speed boost for early, mid and late game.
Greater Glyph of Focus - This is the runes that helped me the most, I can use skills as fast as I want with high damage thanks to the stacks.
Greater Quintessence of Alacrity - Another awesome attack speed boost

I highly recommends these runes, if you don't like it, you can always change your own style.

Summoner Spells

I go for Flash and Ignite because I can use Flash to get away or to run after enemy to deal last blow.

Clairvoyance - Useless when you can use Twilight Shroud near a bush and go in.
Exhaust - Useless when you have Twilight Shroud.
Clarity - Really? Go ahead and use it if you're crazy/stupid.
Cleanse - Well this summoner spell is ok but not that useful.
Ghost - Don't need it when you have Flash and Twilight Shroud.
Heal - Don't need it if you have a spell vamp.
Fortify - Why go for this item if you can harrass enemy easily.
Rally - I have no idea why they even have this.
Revive - This summoner spell if so-so.
Teleport - Don't think about it, you can get to your lane quickly.
Smite - Useless for Akali. You don't need to jungle at low level like Warwick.

Items

For the 6th items, it's your choice depending on your game. With 20 stacks of both Mejai's Soulstealer and Sword of the Occult, I even have 15% cooldown reduction and extra 15% movement speed.

Some Examples of Items:
-Banshee's Veil (Very useful against heavy caster Karthus, Ryze, Veigar and etc..)
-Guardian Angel (#1 recommended)
-Randuin's Omen (Awesome item to get if your fighting against a DBS [Damage Per Second] team)
-Rylai Scepter (Not really good but it does give you extra health and ability power)
-Hexdrinker (Read the Unique Passive description and you'll understand why it is good)

Skill Sequence

Max out the Mark of the Assassin because this is the skill that makes Akali strong. It will help you harrass and farm in the early, mid and late game.

Farming

When farming, I usually get into the middle of all enemy minions and use Cresent Slash then Mark of the Assassin if I have to. If theres a Blitzcrank enemy champion, stay behind your minions and jus use Mark of the Assassin. Once you get pulled by Blitzcrank, you have about 25% chance of surviving unless theres only him, just use your skill to kill him.

Pros / Cons

Pros
- ASSASSIN!!!
- Harrassing
- Jungle
- Very strong burst damage (as if Akali is a nuker)
- Chasing/running away
- Uses "Energy", which helps you stay in your lane a lot longer.
- Twilight Shroud, this is also a great skill, it can stealth you while slowing down enemy's
movement when in it which will help you kill enemy even if they try to run away, don't
forget you still have your flash and your Shadow Dance (Ultimate Skill) to chase.

Cons
- Unable to stealth if enemy has Oracle of Elixir
- Crowd Control
- Map awareness to gank or prevents from being ganked

Playing As Akali

When you play akali, you have to play both offense and defense. When you see enemy in a jungle, first check the map and see if any enemy champions missing or not, if all the other champions are missing, then don't go for it because it's a bait. Or if you're going to try and kill the enemy, use this combo, R-Q-basic-Q-E and W if you're about to die and you need to get away or to slow enemy. When fighting tanks, you don't go fight the tanks head on, at least have someone from your team with you to gank.

Using Shadow Shroud

You shouldn't use your Twilight Shroud randomly, if you're going in the bush, to be on the safe side, use use Twilight Shroud near the bushes and go in, if you see enemy, let your team they're here or if they're squishies such as Sivir and you think you can kill her, then go ahead. You can also use your Shadow Shroud for slowing enemies or for your stealth advantage in fighting.

Tips/Advice For Survivability & Killing

-Always stay behind your tank (more survivability).
-Never starts a fight.
-Lure your enemy that you can kill to a 1vs1 fight if you can.
-When team fighting (everyone fighting), tell your team to gank their heavy caster or tanks and
the games is your.

Summary

For me, I have been doing great lately ever since I started playing Akali. Akali is one flip-flopping ninja that can kill a tanker if played right.
