Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Akali: Where Did My Pants Go?
Akali is a great Assassin champion. Her amazing ability to go invisible in an area and pop out and burst targets down is simply unrivaled by any champion.
She does amazing early game damage with her Mark of the Assassin.
Her ability to go invisible helps and isn't useless with an Oracle's Elixir.
She can be killed very easily because she is squishy.
He Shadow Dance only targets enemy or neutral minions.
In team fights she gets killed easily just in the cross fire of aoe's.
Masteries, Glyphs and Summoner Spells
I won’t list out Glyphs for sake of organization but you can find them up above so take a look.
The glyphs work well with Akali’s game objective and build.
The Masteries I took is a simple 21/9/0 damage build again highlighting what Akali needs to be doing in a game.
You can see the build up above.
For Summoner Spells I take Exhaust and Ignite. These can be interchanged with other spells as you see fit. I will show you some good examples and bad examples below.
Skills and Actual Gameplay
You can see the skill order I use for Akali as well as some of the item’s I use.
I like to focus and getting items with both attack damage and ability power because it works well with her passive I will explain later.
For skilling I focus around her Q,E,and R. These are the main damaging spells but I also pick up a rank in W early on.
Upon obtaining 20 additional ability power, Akali's hits deal 10% bonus magic damage, increasing by 1% for every 5 ability power gained thereafter.
Upon obtaining 10 additional attack damage, Akali gains 10% Spell Vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 10 attack damage gained thereafter.
This is Akali’s passive, and the reason why I buy a Longsword first andstack ability power and attack damage.
Mark of the Assassin
Akali spins her kama at a target enemy to deal 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and mark the target for 6 seconds.
Akali's melee attacks against a marked target will trigger and consume the mark to cause 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and restore 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 energy.
Cost 60 mana | Range 600
This is Akali’s Q ability. I focus leveling this ability because it does so much damage and is good for harassing.
Akali throws down a cover of smoke that lasts for 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 seconds. While inside the area, Akali gains 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 armor and magic resist and becomes stealthed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her.
Enemies inside the smoke have their movement speed reduced by 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 / 30%.
Cost 80 / 75 / 70 / 65 / 60 mana | Range 700
This is her invisibility circle that slows enemies that pass through it.
Akali flourishes her kamas, hitting nearby units for 30 / 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 physical damage (+30% of ability power) + 60% Attack Damage.
Cost 60 mana | Range 325
Another one of Akali’s damaging skills. I second this skill because it’s a good damage ability through her rotation.
Akali moves through shadows to quickly strike her target, dealing 100 / 175 / 250 (+50% of ability power) magic damage.
Akali stores an Essence of Shadow on kills and assists as well as every 25 / 20 / 15 seconds up to 3 total.
Cost 1 mana | Range 800
Akali’s ultimate. Essentially this skill teleports you to an enemy like flash would and deals some damage. It can stack three times and can be used quickly. Paired with a flash its like 4 instant teleport to the enemy.
Early game with Akali you want to harass as much as you can with her Q and try to go in for the hit whenever possible. Try to rack up some early kills to boost your midgame power.
Midgame you can start to roam around and go for those easy ganks. By now you should have a few items and your W available to slow the enemy.
What you want to do endgame is kill people. Plain and simple, just kill people. You should be able to solo dragon by now and is a good gold buff if your not needed elsewhere. Go for the red buff so you can slow people while you shadow dance to people.
Use your Twilight Shroud to make cover and to slow enemies.
Choose your target before a team battle and kill him first no matter what.
If you start getting chased throw down a Twilight Shroud, run through it and double back to fool the enemy.
If you NEED a kill just keep Shadow Dancing to the enemy no matter how close.
You can lane with just about everyone, though a stunner helps you get in with a Q and an E and get out safely.
Well there’s the guide. I hope you have fun with Akali and if your have any questions feel free to drop a comment below or to e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Okay well I plan to make other guides and to make this one better so keep on the lookout for more from me.
