Threats to Alistar with this build
|Blitzcrank||If he pulls you, just q him and w him into your tower. If you can, his ADC. Blitz can fuck himself over.|
|Leona||Alistar is naturally good against engage champions, or those who can get him into action. Leona is susceptible to the same thing as Blitz, maybe even more because she pulls herself TOWARDS you.|
|Thresh||If that Thresh does the same thing as Leonas, bet your ass that you can knock him/his ADC into your tower.|
Why would you play him support?
Alistar is a support who has: Peel, engage, heals(only good early if you don't level), and insane tankyness(which means that you can soak a lot of damage, especially in towerdives).
I like to put points into his e first as if you don't, his heal doesn't do anything, and all the other choices are a bit useless as a support as they only affect damage and increase mana costs(not good early game). Then I like to put points into the q to make sure the cooldown isn't too different than the w(lifesaver). The w is also important but I would only scale it first if I was playing AP(priority for AP: RWQE).
You would always scale the ult when you can, of course.
BTW the difficulty list is only against supports: but remember that you're naturally good against channel abilities.
Why play him AP?
The priority is R W Q E.
W does the most damage, Q does a lot too, R is important for all champions tbh, and I guess E can help out.
