Introduction to the Sated Cow

Hey. I'm Waluigi123 and this is my first guide here on Mobafire. Recently, I've discovered one of the most overpowered abusers of Sated Devourer: Alistar. Quick; what do all sated devourer users have in common? When you think of champs such as Master Yi and Xin Zhao, the answer is that they all have some kind of gap closer to get to their targets. Enter Alistar. Alistar's W to Q combo allows Alistar to just start devastating his enemies with auto attacks. The most overpowered thing about Alistar is his ultimate, however. This allows Alistar to not give a care in the world about the beating he's taking and continue dishing it out. I hope you enjoy my guide and use this hilarious build yourself.

Jungle Route

Start with Hunter's Talisman and 3 pots. Start with Gromp and get a leash from a laner. When the Gromp spawns, Pulverize immediately and start auto attacking. Smite the Gromp one it comes out of its stun. Level up your W and clear wolves. Q all the wolves and then W the large monster back once your passive triggered from your Q is up. After wolves, head to Blue. W the Golem out of the wall as you deal with the sentinels. Smite the Golem. Level up your E and heal whenever blue buff is active and its off CD. Clear raptors then Red buff, with you smiting the red buff for the extra amount of health. Then go clear krugs. Go to the blue side of the jungle and clear wolves and gromp (scuttler is optional). Go to red side and clear raptors and krugs. Repeat until you have enough for Devourer.

Ganking

Gank when its convenient for you. Don't go all the way from bot lane to top lane just because your top laner pinged. When ganking a lane, you want to push the enemy farther away form you turret. Most of the time, you want to walk up to them, Pulverize, and then headbutt the enemy back. Alternatively, you can also Headbutt them first and Q after if they are really pushed up. Only use your Headbutt-Pulverize combo if they are running away to their turret and aren't in a position to Pulverize. After 6, you can use your ult to tower dive by just walking behind the turret, ulting, using headbutt, and then using pulverize. I would only advise this if your laner (or you, I suppose) is fed.

Items

Stalker's Blade-Sated Devourer: This is the item that makes you overpowered. Rush this item. You should be able to get this first back if you farm efficiently. The reason you get stalker's blade is because it helps you stay close to your target. Skirmisher's Sabre could also be used to increase your dueling potential, I suppose, but Stalker's Blade's slow and speed up just seems superior. You should aim at getting Sated by 25 minutes maximum.

Blade of the Ruined King: Gives some AD, attack speed, lifesteal, an amazing passive, and an incredible active. Get Blade of the Ruined King as your second item as it gives you sustain to get sated. The passive also works well with Sated Devourer and allows Alistar to burn through champs stacking health with ease. The active, like Stalker's Blade, helps Alistar stick to his target and is very useful for chasing.

Guinsoo's Rageblade: Overpowered item at the moment. Get this item as your third item. The AD and AP this item gives, as well as the AD, AP, attack speed, and wave clear the passive gives, is just extremely useful on this build. Guinsoo's Rage also works well with Sated Devourer. This is your big power spike and starts the moment where you can really call yourself an assassin.

Boots of Swiftness-Furor: I usually get boots of speed in between Blade of the Ruined King and Guinsoo's Rageblade. After Guinsoo's Rageblade, get Boots of Swiftness as it allows you to out-speed most of the other tier-2 boots and allows you to chase your targets. The enchantment we use is Furor as it helps you to stick to your target.

Sterak's Gage: Sterak's Gage is used because you won't be building tanky, and you'll be getting focused a lot once your ult is down. This item makes you much less dependent on your ult for protection. The shield and the bonus AD is really useful.

Guardian Angle: By this point, you should be pretty fed. Get Guardian Angle for the extra resistances as well as the amazing passive.

The Assassin Cow: Your Role on the Team

To put it simple, you are the assassin on the team, being able to take down carries in a few seconds with your insane burst. In teamfights, you can act as the engage and flash-W-Q to a carry. You can also W-Q an off tank and get your team to burst him. When your health becomes lower than half, you should pop up your ultimate and continue killing carries.

As Sated Devourer Alistar, you are one of the best duelists in the game, easily being able to 1v1 (even 2v1 in some cases) enemies. Insane as it may sound, I was able to kill a fed Jax and Master Yi in two games with this build. Again, use your ult when you are at half health to make the enemy over-commit to killing you.
