Chapter 1

First of all, you build 1 Hearth of Gold and 2 Philosophers Stone or 2 Heart of Gold and 1 Philosopher's Stone. so you get 19 gs/10 sec. 1.9g/sec

The first three skill points goes split into each one, in lane you will be usually defesive considering mate for this task.

Flash and Ghost 'cause it let Alistar lay better using his skills. Other good option is Exhaust but only one enemy is affected. Clarity can be too a good option, but I keep defensive in lane usually or giving totally offensive portion to my lane mate. So I only heal, hit minions, and try to lay the enemies in the best situation for us.

Marks are for Magic Resist Flat, cause of it I don't take Chalice, and I don'r consider I have to do any damage with my skills getting MagicP. But if I damage it is nice, but not my purpose.

Yellow runes are Health Cap Cause I consider HEalth always important in tanks, dodge could be another good solution, but I am classic in this aspect assuring a classic way to get tanks alive.

Blue Runes are for Mana reg cap, It helps me ober all levels, initially I can't spam all my abilities so I play defensively so my mana is not wasted at all.

Quints are for Avarice 3g/10sec so I get 18g extra every min.
This champ is an exception, his farm capability is so poor, so I can get some extra money, caluclating totally I gain from this, 360g in 20 min, 540 in 30 min So I get 180 health ( Double than flat life) in 25-27 min. It combined with Gold items helps e a lot.
