- Your Role -

Support/Tank. You are no carry. Don't play like one. You are not trying to get a score of 22K-2D-2A, but you are trying to get a score of 2K-2D-22A. This is your job.

- Spells -

Summoner spells are a personal preference, many others will work and vary depending on your play style.

- Masteries -

Pretty standard tank mastery setup here. A 9-21-0 build reaching Archaic Knowledge in offensive and Tenacity in defensive. As I plan to play Alistar as a full support tank, and not an attack damage or similar build, these will do nicely.

- Runes -

As common sense, no frills as I can go. Flat armor and magic resist for general resiliency, especially early game where Alistar needs a bit of love until he gets his skill combo up and running. Dodge runes take up the majority and go well with the mastery I have also selected. Makes you more tanky and maneuverable all at once.

- Skills -

The skill rank order may vary from game to game, but this order is my general one. One rank of Headbutt is good enough for our purposes. We need it for placement, not damage. Unbreakable Will at 6,11, and 16. Pulverize and Triumphant Roar are the primaries here and which one you level up more quickly is up to you and your lane. I generally aim for the heal and pick a lane with a harassing hero who may need that support early.
