Hey guys, I main Alistar support but before we bring this season to a close I want people to try a build I've been experimenting with. Alistar has one of the most efficent heals in the game when it comes to a team fight, late game, through a lane of enemy minions. Its an AoE heal that can be spammed, constantly applying buffs such as wind speakers and ardent censer. Now at full build, Alistar can heal him self approximately 400HP and 100HP to himself and his allies, each, respectively. Through a battle where many minions are present he can heal for massive amounts. With this build, he excels at keeping his allies healthy in a poke battle between teams that are dancing and poking each other to see who dives first. While the other team gets whittled down, Alistar keeps his team fresh in terms of HP.

This build generally wont work unless you have another main tank on your team and it wont work if you have a ****ty adc. Support Alistar wont work period with a ****ty adc.

Flash is paramount on Alistar. He thrives on his flash q combo and it earns his ADC many kills during laning phase. Even if the adc flashes out making Alistar's flash for naught, he still succeeded in making the enemy burn his flash, while your adc most likely still has theirs. While for many champions flash is used defensively, and its a big LoL principle, that you flash to survive, I like to use it aggressively on Alistar. He creates massive plays and his outplay potential for setting up and denying kills is spectacular.

Exhaust, it simply gets your teammates out of sticky situations during an all in.

Relic shield is the support item I go with. While your heal is still relatively weak pre 12 it helps keep your adc healthy. Also pre 900gold it helps as well because once you hit 900g you can buy a chalice of harmony effectively cut out the mana starvation Alistar is famous for.

He can effectively spam his abilities with worrying about going oom. The enemy laners will hate you for how well you can keep your adc healthy, outside of all ins. I then get boots.

Now your mana problems are all gone so I rush Face of the Mountain for the increased healing and the shield for my adc.

Ardent censor is my next choice. It used to be mikaehils crucible but the cooldown on its active is so long so I feel the constant buffs to your allies from the censer works well. By this point your heal should start healing for a slightly respectable amount. Its nothing your allies will notice but the HP adds up and it can mean life or death in a team fight. Mikaehils is next and then spirit visage. Once you got those next two items you will be healing for massive amounts.

Alistar heals for 180 at lvl 5 e. 10% from windspeakers, 8% from runic armor, 15% for censer, 15% for crucible, and 25% percent for spirit visage adds up to... 330HP for you. Idk how i get it up to 400, honestly but I do. Now allies get healed for 1/3 of what YOU get healed for. So the 25% from visage and the 8% from runic armor also applies to your allies. For instance soraka's allies wont benefit from her getting a visage because the heal only increases the healing on herself.
