so here i am. made an account just to thank you for this wonderfull guide. alistar became my favorite support and he is a beast in the lane. i like his flash-headbutt-pulverize combos. its a pitty i cant see the faces of my enemies when they got bulled :D

anyone else who currently places wards in the bottum bushes just to headbutt->pulverize->kill your enemies in their?

Great job overall! You managed to pack a library's amount of information into a well laid-out page! (An uber long one, but w/e haha XD) In any case, it's a great way to learn Ali and learn a few extra things along the way, like warding.

Support is how I believe alistar should be played. 2 non cleansable CCs? Yes please. I build frozen heart and soul shroud on him, and I also max Q before W (more teamfight damage). Please try these out, and consider revising. Either way, Very good job!

501g Gehacktes: You're very welcome. Alistar makes quite a fantastic support in the right matchups.

preller: His CC combo is pretty useful, isn't it? Warding bot brushes is a pretty good idea if you're up against a support that camps there, like Blitzcrank or Leona (sometimes Taric as well). Keep in mind you can use Clairvoyance to spot targets if you took it.

Afish123: Thanks, I appreciate the positive feedback. I've been working hard lately to make my guides more concise with less useless or redundant information. I'll likely be overhauling the Situational Items section in the near future.

EEG ShuffleZ: Soul Shroud is really not viable in my opinion. It simply doesn't have the usefulness and cost-efficiency of other support items. Shurelya's Reverie gives similar stats, but is much more useful. Frozen Heart is expensive and in my build is a waste of CDR. I find I rarely build it on supports simply because there are a lot of CDR options available. Randuin's Omen is a better option imo.

I've been planning some changes to my build and guide for a while now. One of the things I've been investigating is the merits of maxing Q first in a support role. It might make its way into the core build, but I'll definitely make a mention of it in the skill order section at least. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have had some good games, where my bot lane carry gets fed farm like a boss.

Since this also acts like a tank build, I can use this effectively to help give kills and to initiate fights.. Unbreakable Will <3

this build is very good i know its older but alistar is my main and my games are almost always wins i play with my friend who plays ad carry ashe and my build is directly in the mid of all ur build i got a tanky ap carry with support and my games i usually always have 5+ kills easyly but over all i tried every build in this guide and they are solid +1
