Introduction

My approach to talon is simple. Starting out with extra damage makes it easier to pick up some hp in the beginning and still do good. I think everything is just balanced enough that you can do lots of damage, and stay in the fight for as long as is needed. This is my first build, so be nice!

Items

The reason I picked these items is simple. Because of your runes, you are able to pick up phage soon because more AD is not currently needed. Youmuu's blade is essential, because it provides the much needed armor penetration, as well as critical strike, and more AD. The rest of the items should be self explanatory. Last whisper gives more penetration, which makes a huge difference. You finish off what phage builds, and than starks fervor keeps you in the game with regen and lifesteal. One of the most important items though, is the Black Cleaver. This item get you more attack speed, and also reduces enemies armor, providing even more advantage for your armor penetration. This build will help you rip through even the most armored tanks, as well as destroying everyone else.

Masteries

Masteries can be interchanged through lots of builds, but the reason I go with the ones that i have is that they allow for my build to come through. I'm not going a lot of critical strike, so I usually stop at 15, getting penetration, and ad. Getting armor and magic resist in the next column, as well as dodge, helps you farm and sometimes solo if you need to. The last column may be slightly unnecessary, but the less death time can be really helpful to get back in a fight, or defend a turret.

Runes

The runes I have make it possible for you to get HP early. Talon is a slightly squishy character early, so getting extra health is essential. With these runes, you don't have to worry as much about getting more AD, attack speed, and armor penetration as soon as you normally would.

Summoner Spells

Ahh, summoner spells. This is always a shakey ground for most. My pick is flash and teleport. Some people might frown on flash, being as that your E flashes you to the enemy already. But I think it is necessary, for when you are trying to catch up to a faster opponent, and it is handy combined with your ult for getting out a jam. Teleport, I believe, can be interchanged with exhaust. Exhaust goes really well with his passive, and if no one else on your team is picking it up, I would advise going with it instead. The reason I grabbed teleport, is because you can charge into a team fight, take a lot of damage while also dealing it out, than back off, recall, and than teleport back into the fight, with full hp. It has proved itself useful over many games for me, so it will also do the trick.

Skill Sequence

Once you have all your skills, I like to go the same way usually. Starting out with cutthroat and auto attacking silences the target from reacting quickly, and also does extra damage. Follow that up with rake so they can't escape, and than use noxian diplomacy. After that you can stick them with your ult, and than if necessary, since you started with cutthroat and rake, you can jump back to them if they get away, and start over. It has proved itself over and over, and if there ever is a chance they get to far away for cutthroat, that's why you have flash!

Unique Skills

The reason I would take this build over others that I have seen is simple. This build allows you to consistently stay alive in team fights, which is basically all you need. A lot of builds go heavy AD, or more tanky, but I think this one draws the line perfectly between enough damage, and hp, to kill someone and live to tell the tale.

Summary

Talking from experience, this build has helped me rock opponents lately, and I advise trying it at least once to see the results. If it isn't your style, I apologize, but to really play Talon, this is what you need to do! Please leave comments on possible ways to improve, they will be taken gladly!
