LoL Summoner Spell: Flash

LoL Summoner Spell: Ignite

Ignite

Introduction

In my opinion Morde is one of the best solo lane champions in LoL. His passive lets him take damage without even hurting him which is why he is such a good laner. If you can keep his shield up you will dominate your lane without any problems. This guide will show you the build that I have found to be most successful on Morde giving you power and sustain wrecking any team you face.

I always try to go for mid when I play Morde since he can usually get a kill at lvl 6 or earlier if he gets a gank. Morde can out farm any mid laner if he can get jungle creeps as well. If our jungler can spare wraiths and/ or wolves I always take it shince it will give me an advantage over my opponent overtime.

Pros / Cons

Pros

Runes

Greater Mark of Insight is great for the spell penetration along with the mastery 10%.
Greater Seal of Vitality gives you the sustain in lane you need with more health every level.
Greater Glyph of Force is great for mid/ late game power since you will be building more tanky items.
Greater Quintessence of Potency is great for early game power since you will be starting with no AP.

Masteries

Since you went for the offensive runes, you will use the masteries to get the defensive part of your build. 9 points in the offensive to get the spell pen, and 21 points in the defensive to get you the extra armour, magic resist and hp to help you dominate your lane.

Items

For your starting items either go Regrowth Pendent with health pot or Doran's Shield. Doran's Shield is better if you know you will be going against an AD champ since it gives you armour and health. I usually go Regrowth Pendent + Health Pot because it gives you better sustain with the health regen since your spells use your hp.

Your early game items should be Sorc Shoes, Will of the Ancients and Rylai's. Sorc Shoes are great for the spell penetration wich synergize with your runes and masteries. Will of the Ancients is your sustain item giving you back health every time you use your spells while giving you some AP to harass easier. Rylai's gives you HP, AP and some CC, which are all needed for Morde to dominate his lane. HP lets you take more harass while AP lets you harass more. Morde has no CC on him so Rylai's will help you chase down your kills.

The next items you buy are Randuin's Omen and Force of Nature. If you need armour you buy Randuin's first and vice versa if you need magic resist. Both these items give you health regen plus the armour and mr which you need to become the unstoppable force that Morde is.

The last item you get is Rabadon's Deathcap or Hextech Gunblade. Rabadon's give you maximum damage allowing you to blow up enemies while Gunblade will give you more spell vamp and survivability and a nice CC to chase down enemies.

Skill Sequence

You max your E first, Q second and W last with points in your R whenever you can. You first start with a point in your E since it is your only range skill. After a point in Q at level 2 lets you farm and harass easier while charging up your shield faster. At level 4 i put a point into his W to protect him from ganks and harass since this will be the time junglers will try and gank you. You put a point into R at level 6 and this is the point where you should be able to get the kill. If you played properly the enemy should have no sustain left and be at around half health. You just E, ult and ignite for the easy kill. In team fights it is your job to go for the enemy carry with your ult. With the help of your team you can blow them up and have a 6v4 advantage which will turn any fight.

Summoner Spells

Flash lets you escape and gives you that gap closer to get the kill.

Ignite will synergize with your ult since they both do damage over time.

These two are your best summoners however you could use exhaust, ghost or even tele depending on what your team needs. Flash however should always be one of your summoners since it is so useful.

Farming

Morde is one of the easiest farmers nuking the creep wave in a few seconds. However in the early game this is the opposite of what you want to do. If you push their tower you will get ganked. It is possible to last hit the creeps with your skills while keeping your shield up if you know how to do it properly. I have played 2v1 top lane in many games and found it really easy. Morde is one of the best farmers under his tower with his skills so 2v1 is no problem. Just let them push the wave to you and nuke the wave. 2v1 is great for Morde since he can't die, he can get his farm and he out levels his enemies.

I've found that for Morde he can out farm any mid laner easily just by going to his wraiths and wolves between waves. This only works if your jungler doesn't need them or you don't have a jungler. Morde is probably one of the only early mid champs that can clear wraiths and wolves in a flash giving you 15 extra creeps over your enemy. When I do this I reach lvl 18 at around 25-30 min and 200+ CS.

Team Work

With this build you will be one of the tankiest champs on your team. You will be taking most of the damage which will allow your team to attack the enemies. In every team fight you want to get your ult onto the enemy carry so your team can kill them and get your ghost to guarantee the win. Your best skill in fights is your ult. It can literally turn a fight since you get an extra champ while they lose one. You should tell your team to focus whoever you ult so they are ready for it.
