Hello, guys i'm Izzy the death and, in this guide ill show you my way playing JUNGLE mumu :). Amumu
About me: i'm player with 2 lvl 30 acc's and my rating is now close to 1100(started to play ranked now because i was afraid of loosing) when i play ranked/normal draft pick i usually pick jungler(with which i'm best) or support. For junglers i pick amumu if our team needs a high damage tank, and team fight winner ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy
Here are the runes i use:
Greater Mark of Health i use that rune, like for every other tanky jungler, so the ap can't burst me so easy in early game. i think that is really useful rune due to high health early game.
Greater Seal of Armor I think that is most useful rune while jungling, because it lowers the damage monsters do to you, and you can stay in jungle without going back to regain health. Because of this runes i can stay in jungle really long without going back.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist I use this rune for early game magic resist which can really help you. You can gank mid without prob they will deal you fatal damage. Magic resist if good for jungler so he can gank any lane without taking big magic damage.
Greater Quintessence of Health this rune is really useful, because it gives you big health bonus. Nothing more to say about this :)
For masteries i go 0/21/9 like with every tank jungler. The most useful masteries in defense is Bladed Armor , Tough Skin , Vigor . In utility i use Swiftness and Runic Affinity . I use those masteries because they help you at early game jungling, and ganking.
About items. I start with Regrowth Pendant and 1 Health Potion, for early game health regent, and due to this item i can stay in jungle much longer than i could with
Cloth Armor and 5 health potions. Then i build this into philosopher stone for early game health and mana regeneration, which is really useful, because you can give blue to your AP mid without going out of mana, and it gives you 5 gold per 10 sec. This is really useful because amumu gets much gold while staying in jungle and farming. After that i buy mercury treads, and hearth of gold. Instead of mercury treads you can build Ninja Tabi depending on opponent team comp. I build philosopher stone into shurelya's reverie, and hearth of gold into Randuin's Omen. I build shurelya's reverie because of bonus health and mana regen, bonus health, and because of active which gives you and your allies speed buff which can help you at ganking and chasing down opponents or running. I build Randuin's Omen because of health regen, armor, health, and because of its active which slows movement and attack speed. Its really useful in team fights. After that i build Sunfire Cape for bonus health, damage, and armor. After i build Force of Nature for health regen, magic resist and movement speed. And if you'll have time and money you shall build Guardian Angel which gives you armor, and magic resist, and a great passive.
About skills. All amumu's skills(except Bandage Toss are based on AOE damage, which means they can damage more than 1 champion, that they can damage the whole enemy team. Amumu's skills make him a perfect tank, and jungler.
Hiss passive is : Cursed Touch
Cursed Touch Amumu's autoattacks reduce the target's magic resistance by 15 / 25 / 35 for 4 seconds. The debuff doesn't stack but it refreshes with every autoattack.
his q spell is called Bandage Toss
Amumu tosses a sticky bandage in a straight line. If it contacts an enemy, Amumu will pull himself to it, dealing magic damage and stunning the target for 1 second.
ABOUT HIS Bandage Toss I use this spell for running when they are chasing me. You want to know how? IF im close to some minions or even camps(wolf camp, wraith camp, blue...) i Bandage Toss into them so i pull to them and get alive :) It works sometimes and sometimes not. But what can you lose if you are already dead :)
His w is Despair
Despair its the most useful skill for jungling
While toggled on, Amumu will be surrounded by a small damaging area of tears. Enemies in the area will be dealt a percentage of their maximum health plus a base amount as magic damage each second.
His e is Tantrum
(Passive): Amumu takes reduced physical damage from autoattacks and abilities.
Physical Damage Reduction: 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10
(Active): Amumu will make an instantaneous tantrum, dealing magic damage to surrounding units. Additionally, each time Amumu is hit by an autoattack the cooldown on Tantrum's active will be reduced by 0.5 seconds.
His r is Curse of the Sad Mummy and it is his ultimate, which makes him one of best tanks in game.
Curse of the Sad Mummy
Amumu entangles surrounding enemy units, dealing magic damage and rendering them unable to move or use autoattack for 2 seconds
About summoner spells: I use Flash for running, escaping, chasing opponents, or just for flash in their team for a good ultimate. I use Smite for jungle for faster and easier jungle early game.
OTHER SPELLS YOU CAN USE
Ghost good summoner spell but its up to you will you use it or not. I just feel that Flash helps me more
Exhaust if your team needs and Exhaust you can change Flash with this.
Pros / Cons
Pros of Amumu
Really easy and fast jungling
Very big damage for tank
His Curse of the Sad Mummy can change tides of team fight in your favor
And HE IS Amumu :)
Cons of amumu
You need a good team to be useful
He is easy counter jungled
And doesn't have any good escapes.
In jungle start at blue buff and get a pull. when you get a pull active your Despair and attack the big golem 1. Smite him for end and level your Tantrum. When you clear whole jungle you shall be lvl 3 and then go kill wraiths to get level 4. Then go gank. When ganking PING AND WRITE YOU COMING to your teammates. Start a gank with a Bandage Toss (try to hit a enemy with it xD) attack the enemy's and spam your skills. You should make a good gank due your slow from red and damage from you and teammates. If they Flash don't chase them; its successful gank. The other blue buffs give to your mid AP and red give to your ad carry. When you hit lvl 6 ganks will be much easier. Pull to enemy with Bandage Toss and try to kill them with teammate. If they are running active your Curse of the Sad Mummy. They should be dead. So this is all about my jungling.
About team work. In team fight start a fight with your Bandage Toss and then active your Curse of the Sad Mummy. Focus the enemy AD/AP carry, and in team fight active your Randuin's Omen. If the enemy's are running active your shurelya's reverie and chase them. The team fight should be won due to your ultimate and your damage. If you made ace go destroy their towers while you are tanking if you have health, and your ad carry or ad jungler is alive. Don't go in team fight if you don't have your Curse of the Sad Mummy because its more chance you will win team fight with that.
