Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
I play games to have fun, supporting to me is fun. I only ever use Amumu as a tank and to support others. His ult is very good when paired with someone else who can hit in high amounts. (Lux is one of my favorites to lane or team with). Your pretty much there to tank the brunt of the damage but with tears and tantrum proc'ing quickly with splash damage, not getting focused and dealing aoe you may just catch a kill. Assists are what you expect from this build, if you expect kills find a jungling build. I love Amumu he's my favorite champion to play as
Pros / Cons
Great farming ability
Team fights you can make or break with stuns and AOE damage
End game and team fights best harass and control around
Amazing fun while looking cute and not threatening at all
If you like to get mass kills it won't happen with this build
You may get focused if people are not mentally challenged
Early game is a little weak unless your laning partner can burn fast as you catch
If you don't have the Emumu skin you just look ridiculous (jk but i love the skin)
Basic 0/21/9 build its mostly for support while not being downed extremely quick if they figure out why your standing in the middle of their whole team and their losing health like its their job. With Boots Of Swiftness you don't need nimbleness on dodge.
For items Warmog's Armor in the beginning for it to give sometime to build into a tone of health. Warmog's Armor can be exchanged with Force of Nature if you wish because the majority of items are lending to health being increased the .35% health regen becomes a lot at end game. Into a Sunfire Cape so taht you can teleport and farm very easily with Tears and Tantrum. Abyssal Scepter along with Rylai's Crystal Scepter for slow magic resistance and do get some damage going with Tears. Banshee's Veil is a favorite of mine for initiating and getting one free spell to shrug off. The last item can be personalized based on playing style.
Fortify and Teleport are the two I take. I play mainly as a support champing I'm not attempting to gank and kill a alot. With your Ult and with Bandage Toss fortify can be used as aweapon when someone just feel like tower diving. Throw Bandage Toss into Ult and you have a tower shooting twice as fast while you cry and tantrum, they end up dead or nearly there. Teleport is a must because you have such great farming ability with the build and with your moves. Other options Would be Flash and exhaust instead of Fortify.
Your vital to win team fights. Give it a little time to burn down a little then when people start trying to get out of the team fight,
A) Throw and catch
B) Ult and watch people freak out
Always have tears up and if you have a chance grab blue, (Tears never makes you lose mana and you can have it up all the time). Tantrum as whenever it proc's because of splash damage or being targeted and you may just catch someone on their dieing breath.
There's how I play Amumu. If you have some team work (atleast 3/5) you can do a lot of harass and catch some people off guard. I'm not really a serious player but I have amaizing fun getting tons of assists and watching people wrap up the kills. Having a good support player can really make or break a game in my opinion. If your that support you make the game. Constructive ideas or suggestions would be fun to test. First guide its very personal to my playing style maybe it'll help ya have some fun and not be so serious.
