Hi everyone, my name's Feederal, Silver Veteran (update: i made it into gold currently G4 ty amumu<3) this season in ranked, and this is my first guide and today I will be discussing my favorite champion in all of League, Amumu. I have a 63% win rate with this little guy at 7/5/11 being my average with over 210 games as him. Why you are reading this guide? You are probably interested on how to play this little guy, and how he accumulates so much damage while remaining tanky. All questions will be answered. Why should you learn how to Amumu jungle? Based on the facts, Amumu actually has the highest win rate (at least for NA) in all of ranked solo que, he simply puts up phenomenal numbers and utility in a team fight and there are so many ways you can go about building him. In my opinion, he's extremely fun and his personality in the game completes opposes me as a person and I think that's why I really love the little guy, it's almost like opposites attract.

DA RUNES PLZ

For my runes, I actually have been just running my AP Carry rune page for early game damage, which I feel the mummy REALLY lacks. This includes 9 Magic Pen marks, 9 Seals of armor (for the jungle creeps), Glyphs and quints of AP. I choose to do this because I love bringing pain whenever I gank, even if it's very early like level 3. If you're going with the tanky build of course I'd suggest something more viable like Marks of health, seals of armor, glyphs of MR, and quints of health. This helps you have heavy tanky stats early game and will help you live longer in the jungle and be more durable in team fights and ganks later on. :)

I chose my masteries to be more on the tanky side because I feel that's what is viable for the mummy in the jungle. But having that bit of AP and cooldown reduction is always lovely :D

SWAGGING OUT YOUR MUMMY

As you can see, I set up almost every single one of my scenario builds with Spectral Wraith except when you have 0 tanks on your team besides you. And I mean 0 like not even a half tank, everyone is squishy but you. The reason why I love to rush the spectral wraith is because of the amount of damage it gives to your ganks when you gank early. You will most likely be camping early and having that extra damage on your q and your e makes all the difference in your ganks probability of securing a kill. All of my items are purchased in accordance to what the team composition of the enemy is, but take into account your team composition as well. It is important to take things into factors of who's dealing the damage, etc. (ex. if the enemy has an Ahri that is 10/0 but everyone else is AD and not fed or fed as much, it would be wise to build a banshees after your Sunfire Cape instead of the recommended frozen heart.)

As you can see, I prioritize in maxing my E a majority of the time because it's the safest route to go as far as damage and jungling, however if you're feeling brave enough, you can max your q instead of your e and turn your q into a bomb buy purchasing damagey items first such as abyssal scepter, liandry's etc.

TEAMWORK OP

Okay, I must emphasize that cooperating with your team is very important to Amumu. Often kids in my tier (silver) rage alot because they're losing in lane and they WILL blame you, it is all your fault as jungle that they are not placing wards and overextending and ask why they are getting camped and you do nothing about it. But you're not going to get mad at them and tell them that, instead you're going to ping and land your q like a boss and help your teammate get the kill(s). In a teamfight come mid and late game, Amumu shines like no other being able to set up plays using his q and ultimate you can secure your team a victory simply just by landing the QR combo. Keep your W on during the fight for maximum meltage and spam your E as much as possible as well and use your Q to peel for your teammates and secure kills

PROS N CONS

Pros:

Amazing CC and AoE damage

Great Team comp player who's ult goes well with others

Good Jungle clearing time

Overall a great champion for someone with a sense of leadership and teamwork

Kind of like an offensive lineman (american football), doesn't get much recognition but the plays wins the game

Fun to wreck people as an adorable little mummy

Cons:

Gets Counterjungled ALOT

SO MUCH COUNTERJUNGLING

Weak early game

Needs communication and teamwork to maximize his utility

Cries too much
