A great build for a great champ. This thing has been my Amumu bible.

Some good stuff here, however I'd recommend not doing a dodge build for amumu.

I used this guide and it made me love this toon he is a very impressive tank.

cd reduction isnt bad for spamming tantrum, so you might want to grab some cd reduction glyphs. Also, a chalice is good, ive had it so that my despair could be left toggled on, and my mana leveled off at about 60% mp.

My 1c here, with 2 sunfires you are already OP AoEer, you might consider making either Force of Nature (not instead of guardian, you never know and it gives Ar and Mr so its quite versitaile) but instead of 3rd sunfire when you face magic team, or Frozen Heart if you face physical one. CDR + AS reduction would be overkill for him, not talking about mana that amumu is struggling in mid-late game still giving 99 Ar.
And what about Thornmail?

Anyway i love this cry-baby and this build is good enaugh to take tank+take down whole enemy team down within seconds.

Great build, I use it a lot.

i often play with amumu and my build is so similar to this one.

However is banshee s veil is very important? I often get 2 sunfires after boots and go for a d item depending on opposing team

what do you think about this? you think i buy the sunfires too quick?

I feel it is better to begin with a Doran's Ring, then progress to make Merc Treads instead of a philosopher's Stone and Ninja tabi's. Doran's Ring is an amazing starter item and it is great on Amumu, you can essentially spam tantrum and never run dry of mana, + the extra hp boost is a good bonus (you can sell this later). As for the Merc Treads, well, its great to be able to run around in the middle of the enemy team and not get screwed over by debuffs :) I 2 then create the Banshees Veil --> 2 Sunfires. After that however I tend to opt for either Thornmail if it is a highly physical dps team, or a Force of Nature to counter a heavy-caster built team. Thornmail + your crying & 2 sunfires will certainly have the other team crying in no time. My latest 3 games with Amumu have rick-rolled the enemy, achieving 8/1/14, 8/2/17 & 10/5/17...and I'm in a decent ELO with 311 wins...As for your masteries, skill tree and summoner spells, I take exactly the same hehe good build =P +1
