The most use of this spell will be in early game. Try last hiting minions when you are at half mana and watch your mana bar grow up \o/
Your laser bird will be your best friend when you are chasing an enemy. The slow will make you hit the target with your Nevermore pretty easy with the damage along.
This will be a "Stop right there ! I'm gonna nuke you" call for an enemy. Try to make a combo with Torment just before it snares the target so the target will take the extra damage from Torment.
A different version of Maledict. Provides a really really good bonus damage for all of your damage output (%20 dmg for ignite aswell \o/) and makes your enemy burn.
This skill will make you farm for ages even if you have less than half hp. And also in team combats this will make you survive A LOT more longer than other mages.
Starting with a Meki pendant will help you to harras the opponent for some longer time. If you are playing really agressive u may jst take meki + 2 health potions instead of 1 mana potion cuz u will be a bit low hped if u go much aggressive before lvl6.
Since you should be the mid guy, u should have killed your opponent 1 or 2 times after lvl 3. If you have killed your opponent you should have enough money to get Tear of the Goddess + Sorcerers shoes at like lvl 7 or so. If you havent u can jst grab Tear of the goddes + a plain boots at least.
After the Tear + Sorc boots build your Spirit Visage. That's pretty awesome item for swain : Gives you more hp for survival / Cd reduction and nice %20 more healing from your ulti.
After Spirit Visage you might get a Hextech Revolver before getting your Archangel done for a bit more survival. Its totally your choice but i'd get Archangel first. After that go straight ahead for Zhonya's (best on use in the game imo). I'd suggest getting Hextech Revolver after Zhonya's (ofc if you are having problems with survival if not go for all archangels)
If you think that you'd do nice on mid lane then u should jst take it cuz Swain is one of the best ganker heroes in the game. Try not to be that much aggresive till lvl 3 and just harras your opponent a bit with ur 1st spell (laser bird \o/ yay). At lvl 3 if you were able to harras your opponent to half(or near) hp, if the opponent is playing aggresive try to snare him with your 2nd spell and use Torment + Decrepify .If he is a bit defensive use ur bird (Decrepify) to slow him then use Nevermore and land your Torment before he gets snared and instantly ignite him and jst keep basic attacks and watch him die.
When u hit lvl 6 / 7 push your lane a bit and start ganking. When u port to base u should be able to complete your Tear of the Goddess + Boots (At least non upgraded one). The combo you should be able to do is Nevermore - Ravenous Flock - Torment - Decrepify + ignite if its not on cd.
Try to get the golem buf as much as you can cuz it means semi-infinite ultimate for you which also keeps you at top HP. As a 6th item u can get either another Archangel's or Will of the Ancients. If the game is pretty balanced and seems like its gonna last a bit longer u can try Guardian Angel or Banshee's Veil for a bit more survival.And always be aware to use your Zhonya's active in a team fight when they focus you.
Ghost : Ghost is my favourite spell. Much more usefull than flash when u are ganking and even a bit more usefull than flash if you arent in jungle.
Ignite : My second best spell. Its even more op at Swain since your Torment will boost the damage. You can get another summoner spell to replace ghost but u MUST take ignite when you have your op Torment.
Other Summoner Spells That Can be Taken
Flash : Pretty nice for blinking from bushes and for a nice getaway.
Teleport : I really dont like this spell but its pretty usefull sometimes when you are on mid lane. You can jst port back (or port to lanes on a ward in the bushes) after your ganking is finished.
Never Touch Those Summoner Spells
Clarity : You shouldn't need this. At low levels your passive can keep your mana topped all the time and at mid / later game since you should be trying to get golem buf all the time you wont even use this more than once if you get it. U may only go for this if you are on lanes but i think u should be starting on mid to get this build right.
Exhaust : Who needs this when you have a Laser Bird to slow ?
P.S 1 : If you want you can get a Hextech Revolver after u got your archangel + zhonya for a tiny bit more survival but it's all game dependant.
P.S 2: Currently Swain can kill Undying Rage'd Tyrandamere with Torment. Its surely a bug so im pretty sure that they will fix it. ** This is fixed already.
