Shyvana, The Half-Dragon
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Threats to Shyvana with this build
|Garen||Very tanky and having 0 mana costs w/ high CDs makes Garen an easy early game target, hit him with your usual combo (E, W, Q) and you should be able to deal some damage to this guy.|
Early Game (0:00-10:00)
Now Shyvana's early game is very very very strong and you should be able to dominate your lane as long as the opposing team's top laner is ranged. Freeze your lane often with Shyv when you feel unsafe (About to get ganked or something of the sort), and always be sure to harass when your enemy gets over-zealous with using their abilities on minions. Your first gank should come around 3-5 minutes in, and if it isnt, beg for it unless you're winning your lane by now with at least 2-3 kills (I've managed to get around 5 in 4 minutes) as to where you could fend off the enemy jungler as well as their top. Keep farming and use the EWQ combo to harass your opponent.
Mid Game (10:01-~20:00)
You should be winning in kills, and gotten the first tower around 12:40, if you have been winning in kills and haven't lost your tower, feel free to roam a little bit and help out your mid lane if they're having troubles, but keep an eye on your tower as you're leaving it open and vulnerable. Ganking as Shyvana is absolutely terrible as she has 0 CC except with her ultimate being a knock-back/carry-back, so take caution when ganking and ALWAYS gank from behind. If you lost your tower while ganking, don't worry too much, just focus your lane for a little bit and allow your jungler to help out other lanes.
Team Fights as Shyvana
Shyvana's teamfighting capabilities are truly astounding as the constant damage from Burnout and a Sunfire Cape can whittle down an enemy's health very quickly... if you're in range of course. Getting in melee range with Shyvana is rather difficult, which is why I take the BORK and usually have it by now, use it on an enemy and get up in their faces, flash ahead, and ult as many as you can back towards your team, immediately activate Burnout and Flame Breath and keep as many enemies near you so you can rack up the kills, for you or your team. Stragglers are always a problem, help your ADC or mid, (if your ADC is a Jinx, good for you, speed boosts for her for days), help him/her catch up to take them down.
Late Game and Finishing
Your total build should be about done, and you CS should be nearing 150, if it's higher, well done. Shyvana really shines late game as one of the most threatening champions to oppose, and you really shouldn't have any problem killing more enemies and finishing the game for your team.
