Introduction
For runes I usually go MP marks, Mana Regen/L seals, CDR glyphs, and flat AP quints. The only thing I would change around is probably glyphs. Anivia can go MR/L glyphs or AP/L glyphs. You can change the quint for flat health (good on any champ), swiftness, or Mana Regen/L since Anivia can be very mana heavy with her ult. Mana Regen seals and Magic Pen marks are a must IMO but feel free to change em to whatever suits you best.
I like to goGhost andFlash on Anivia because Anivia is rather slow and flash is for escape or chase. You could takeIgnite too orclarity but usually not clarity and there's really no need forexhaust on Anivia.Teleport if you really want to but ghost and flash are probably the best options.
Level up your Q at level 1 and max it second for it's slow/stun effect. I prefer to use no line missile for Q but that's personal preference. This is you escape, singling out champs skill. Max this last and use this whenever possible in teamfights. This is your bread and butter skill. Max this first but don't bother using it unless your Q or R has hit an enemy champion other wise it does very little damage.AOE slow and tons of dmg, max your ult whenever possible and use it for you full combo.
You combo should be Q or R to hit the champ and then E right after. Keep them in your R and then wall to block them from escaping. This is a 1 v 1 situation.

Anivia can do HUGE damage at level 2 and at level 6 is pretty much a nuclear bomb waiting to explode. This is why I usually build flat AP, ROD since Anivia is REALLY squishy but she does have her egg. Banshee or w.e for your 6th item. It's really situational. Also, WARDS WARDS WARDS AND MEJAI'S IF YOU ARE DOMINATING EARLY GAME! Also you can chose to get either void staff or zhonya or maybe switch out banshee's for zhonya depending on the enemy team comp. Don't forget to buy elixirs (red and blue) when you can and buy oracles if no one else has it on your team to get rid of the enemy wards. Archangel for the mana so you never run out of course but you can replace archangels with anything else because it's not really necessary.
LAST HIT LAST HIT LAST HIT and harass with you q/e combo and r. If they're really low, block them from running with your wall, RQE KO. Harass them when you can but don't waste mana early game because Anivia will become mana heavy. Mid/Late game you can use your ult and Q to clear minion waves in a matter of seconds!
Try and single out champs with your wall. LAND YOU Q IN TEAM FIGHTS PLOX AND GET A FREE KILL.
Initiate with either you wall, Q, or R depending on who is initiating on the enemy team. Usually W for ranged champs, q for stun on anyone and R just to slow the whole team. Land your wall to save your team mate or seal the fate of the enemy champs. Your W may need some practising and don't forget, manually detonate your q when you think you can stun them, lots of Anivia players forget this.

So in conclusion, Anivia is an AMAZING nuke early/mid/late game if you do some good farming or just raping the other team with your RQEW. If you can master Anivia, you can carry you team easy early and mid game. Late game you can still do crazy damage, but you're gonna want to abuse your utility and CC a lot more. Anyways here's a last note on what you be using in a 1 v 1 situation. RQEWREQR RAWR.
