Unless you are very mana efficient, I would recommend getting Tear before finishing Rod of Ages. Either way, nice build.

Nice build but I go for chalice a little early and replace it later for less running back to base for mana and try out Clarity instead of ignite and see how you like it. It comes in really handy for tough team battles when your mana's running low. Allows you to continue with the AoE for longer instead of just dmging one player with ignite.

Tip - A lot of people leave storm on for too long and end up with no mana, be sure to only to leave it on if you're still hitting multiple enemies. And easy ganks are made with Anniva by opening with the stun, throwing the storm down in a good place then frostbiting to create a huge amt of burst dmg. Just be sure to turn off that storm after they escape. (Natural reaction for most players is to run like hell soon as they see the storm, let alone the stun)

Clarity > Ignite.

Ignite is useful for finishing off enemies as they try to run, and that's about it. If you can't trap someone with your wall or slow/stun them enough with FF and Glacial Storm to kill them, then Anivia isn't for you. Sure, ghost and abilities that allow you to move around might allow a few to escape that wouldn't with ignite (though, you can most likely nuke them dead before they can), but overall sustained ability use is more useful.

If you can't sustain your mana with a Catalyst, you're absolutely terrible and shouldn't be playing Anivia. I know what I'm doing with Ignite instead of Clarity.

Would you recommend starting with Boots of Speed and 3x health Potions?

I'm also wondering if you could switch Lich Bane with Zhonya's Ring, the order.
And How about putting a few ranks into Crystallize throughout the game?

The build is always up for order tweaks. I tend to get Zhonya's last just cause it's so expensive; and as for the wall, go ahead.

I see what you did there, to survive without Clarity you got Ignite, and the Ignite mastery (+10ap most of the time) which in turn allows you to use more runes that give mana to compensate.

But Clarity still has superior mana, especially with 21 levels in utility mastery and you will be ganked less with shorter summoner spells.

Hard to pick one Ignite, or Clarity, can't i have both?

Ignite = short range, higher burst damage
Clarity = low burst damage, more useful to the team and more sustainable.

Sapphire Crystal over Ruby Crystal? i think you like being ganked.

And Frostbite over Flash Frost is new to me, good for jungling and harrassing nub but in a tight lane i think Flash Frost for harrassing is better.

All in all a good build so i give a thumb up.

Playing ignite with Anivia mean you play mostly alone. I guess. It's ok. But 10ap instead of -15% summoner spell CD? It's very funny to see that sort of choice.

BTW, Clarity is totaly useless in late game on her cause of golem buff since lvl6 with catalyst + 1 hp potion. I loled hard when i see Aniv with it.

Go for Purge instead of, it will save you several time and here you can take Sorcerer's shoes each time. Otherwise without Mercury's threads you will die very oftenly no? (Ashe ulti, warwick ulti, veigar jail etc etc.)

"i think Flash Frost for harrassing is better." It's FF + FB or nothing. a good player will always dodge the FF or always the stun at least. So you cannot have a very good harass in this way. The only way is to proc the combo FB + frozen target. So max FB is the key.

And full AP rune (mana regen in red ?! Oo) instead of magic pen in red, mana regen in yellow and anything in blue and purple)? Comon guy, Anivia scale at 0.5 and 0.25. It's not very high compare to Annie or real nuker. If you wanna be nuke, there are better char to play with. You must maxamize the potential of FF.

And why greed? 180po in 30 min game. WOW. really impressive ^^. Anivia is one the slowest char in this game (290MS at lvl1) so you must take the 3%MS. The upgrade of time duration of golem buff is nice too. But not mandatory.

And the item build is very expensive. It's almost impossible to take ROA + archangel + Zonya + lichebane + boots. To be more realistic : Start with +200mana or +200hp (depend on ennemy char. if lot of burst, go +200hp) and 2 hp potion. Then catalyst with 2 hp potion and go golem before returning to your lane. Then boots lvl 1 and upgrade to ROA. Tears and upgrad boots. upgrade archangel. And then, it's time to a little bit of resistance. (banshee or angel armor. You can even use the first catalyst to banshee if you have not farm in effective way). And the game is already over. Finish by a zonya if the game is very very long.

I just played with cleanse and ignite and it worked very well. I would suggest magic pen marks and mp5 per level seals. Just an fyi, sivir is suuuuch a pain to go against when you're anivia.

everything is good imo, but lichbane is ******ed to get and i will never get it on anivia. I tried it with, and without and i did WAY better without it. Waste of a better item slot. But good build otherwise ty.
