A few problems. I dont really like your choice of runes. Getting cdr seals is pretty useless, as they dont offer as much cdr as the glyphs. A better choice would be mana regen or flat armour. I also dont like how you get archangels as a 5th item. To use Archangels to the fullest it needs to be bought a little earlier. Anivia without a tear or goddess or archangels will make you oom almost all the time. You can ask for blue buff, but you wont be able to have it on all the time. I suggest getting a tear early in the game to help with mana issues. Also i disagree that Veigar is a hard champion to lane against. Before level 6 he completely relies on farm and spends 80% of his mana to farm - use this to your advantage. Your Q-E combo should do around 30% of his health. When he is level 6, his ultimate does do quite a bit of damage but by then you should have already zoned him from exp and gold in the earlier levels. Not to mention his main damage Dark matter is very easy to dodge as his stun is less than 1 second. I believe Urgot is a very strong mid against any - need i say more. A good Cassiopeia can be a terrifying mid. Epic harass with q allows her to dodge Anivia's Q with her MS buff. Twin fang spamming does alot of damage especially with Anvias low movement speed. Her ult can be very powerful with a 2 second stun - yeah we doont see many cass at all but a good cass can be very strong. Annie is an extremely strong mid with the chance to nuke you down to 0 at level 6. She is strong early game. Other champions which can outplay Anivia early are Annie, Leblanc and Brand - they have more damage output that you early game.

Archangel as 5th item? Gj, anivia without mana regen just rocks. Or wait, actually, it sucks!
All a little bit short, not much helpful info.

Gotta be honest, most of us are here for more than a build- Although some of your choices are nice (I used to main Anivia) the written part is very important, and in that note, a suggestion would be to fix all the errors in it and put in more concise paragraphs.

Hey, constructive criticism on your first guide is a necessity.

"Your openent mid lane" section is just a wall of text. It's hard to read, you should reformat it.

I don't consider Karthus to be a huge problem when it comes to laning. Get early boots, avoid the little explosive dots he puts under you, keep your distances to avoid getting caught and cornered by his wall. If he does get ya in a bad spot, dodge his wall to the top of the bottom as needed instead of going through it. Suprising Karthus by making my own move just as he thinks he has me cornered is something I rather like doing. Karthus players are quite often way too balzy for their own goods and that can really be abused if done right. I play passively against Karthus, waiting until he over commits and then toss my stun in his face. Also, even if he is ranged, a good wall still has his use to keep him a fair distance and create a safety zone to escape.

Nidalee... As long as you know to avoid her spears, she's not a real threat. Take a few too many in the face and before you know it, she'll egg you. Stay behind your own minions at all times, her spear will hit the first target it encounters, minion or champion. She's rather soft. Counter harass her with a few combo, she dosen't have unlimited mana and will have to choose between healing or throwing spears. Her strenght is her sustainability, yours is a large amount of burst. Bide your time, wait until you have farmed yourself enough to be able to burst her in one go or ask for a gank.

In the end, the true secret with Anivia is patience and mana conservation. Make sure you always have at least enough mana to toss a stun or a wall, preferably both. It will save you. Always be very considerate when using your stun. Good players know of the lenght of it's cooldown and will wait for you to throw it out and move in while it is on cooldown. Don't give them that oportunity. Against some champions, it is best to play passively and maintain the stun as a threat. Let them get impatient, let them make the first move and toss that stun in their face when they do. Against some other champions, you must be the agressor. It is important to know the difference and to play accordingly.
