The Introduction to the Cryophoenix.
Who is Anivia?
Hello people, My name is Drasghoul Oifor and today I am going to be giving you a guide on how to play Anvia. For those of you who do not know who Anivia is, She is a ranged ability power carry that can prove difficult to use. However, Anivia is one of the strongest early game Champions for Mid-lane.
In most lore, the phoenix is a creature of fire that rises from its own ashes. What few know, however, is that phoenixes are elemental beings, formed by the eternal essences of their native world. Anivia was conceived on a world such as this - a being of the coldest winter, a creature of pure elemental ice. On her world, Anivia was the protector of the frozen wastes and all those with the spirit to endure in such unforgiving places. She was consulted as a creature of great wisdom, one who could not die and who had seen the world renewed several times. Somehow, Anivia knew that the day would come when she would be plucked from her home and pulled across worlds, and when that day came, she received the call with grace. Seeing the imbalance and injustice on Runeterra, a world lacking elemental protectors, Anivia took her place at the League of Legends.
Since her arrival, the Cryophoenix has chosen to live among the highest peaks of the Northern Ironspike Mountains, adjacent to the frozen wastes of Freljord. She has openly claimed this territory as her own protectorate. Surprisingly, Anivia has struck up a friendship with the yeti of this region - a friendship that grows deeper and deeper with each passing moon. She has formed a close bond with two League champions: Nunu (and Willump) and the nomad princess Ashe. In a move that caught the League by surprise, the Cryophoenix recently entreated the summoners of the Institute of War to research a means in bringing across others of her elemental fellows. As a champion, Anivia is revered with a sense of awe by most, but is not the most popular as most consider her unapproachable.
Some say the world will end in fire, some in ice. Anivia awaits the inevitable latter.
What you should know about Anivia before playing with her.
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
Greater Seal of Scaling Ability Power
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
As all Ability Power Carries, Anvia requires Magic Pentration, and ability power as well as Magic Resist. As powerful as Anivia, Anivia has three limitations that prevent her from being a colossal pain in the butt. Here are those three limitations:
- Anivia is slow as hell, so she should definitely never overextend herself.
- This champion is probably so frustrating due to the fact that she runs out of mana so easily.
- This big blue bird is very squishy.
Anivia's item's to continue hatching.
Ability power! MOAR ABILTY POWER! Oh wait.. This is not a Veigar Guide.
Boots of Speed + 2x Health Potions + 1x Mana Potion Are what I use for Anivia. The extra mana potion help's you stay in the lane and keep the enemy at bay for a little bit longer. Due to her sloth-like movement, She needs the boot's at start.
Since Anvia later need's Archangel's Staff late-game, it's best to take this item due to the fact that each time you hurt an opponent you get more mana. Therefore, each time you go back to refuel you Insatiable need for mana, you get more and more each time. This is the first Item you should consider getting after you get enough Gold.
catalyst the protectorThis item is generally very handy for Anivia due to the fact that she can only take so much punishement before being sent back to base to heal up or get more mana. This Item solves that problem allowing you to lane even more. If you have a target buying Magic resist Item's I would suggest Haunting Guise against them.
T Corki is another.
This item is famous for it's kiting ability.
Why Anvia is such a Crucial Champion.
What can a Big Blue bird possibly do for out Team..?
Anvia so far has been the only true Champion on the Game of league of legends where almost all her Abilites are Hell-bent on assisting the team. Her Abilities like Flash Frost, Crystallize, and Glacial Storm give her the ability to make a certain area not accessible to the enemy team. (Unless they have a death wish.)
Crystallize Is a very handy ability to Catch runners who already used their flash to try and get away from you or possibly funnel/separate the enemy from each other. However... this ability can back fire on you sometimes... Placement of this wall is crucial.. Another real fun tactic is to get somebody stuck on a wall in a corner so they cannot do anything and wait to be molested in that same Corner..
Glacial Storm is another way to keep the enemy out of your hair... If they are stupid enough to cross it and get chilled, Reward them with Frostbite They usually back off after that. This Ability Slow's AND slow's attack speed. It's very powerful at start, another way to use it is as an escape tool. Unless they are a really angrily fed Yi with Highlander on, they won't be able to catch you. I like to use the Furor Enchantment to combo with Glacial Storm and Flash Frost in order to escape really quickly. The enchantment also helps you catch that litle turd named Teemo. Dear god... Now that it comes to my mind... Wonder how many times that little guy has gotten away with Kill stealing so much...
A Wild Anivia has Appeared!
If you have a Anivia on your team, it is very Important you protect them... Keeping your pretty blue bird means you also get a few chances of escaping and killing the Enemy.. She places wall's, stuns, slows. If you have a horrible Anivia that is not worthy of even playing the champion... Just try to be nice to them... Or... Let them die.. You probably might lose... Anivia is just like Veigar when it comes to team-play, if they are trashy and annoying... You might as well has not count them in the game...
