Oh gosh there's so much I wanna tell hahahaha.

Use Tibbers to check bushes. Another fun trick is to have Tibbers hover outside a bush as if you were there while you're actually at another bush. When they hit Tibbers make him run through the brushes while you gank from another direction. Very situational.

Other Tibbers tricks: Send him 1 direction to induce a movement in another direction. ie. Ganking bot from river, send Tibbers through the brush while you go to the tower. Let Tibbers tank the first shot from tower then DIVE HAPPINESS. Also situational, but viable with RoA x2.

With the excess MP from 2 RoA you can spam incinerate on bushes or just anywhere to build charges. The 21 defensive masteries should also be 3 in strength of spirit for HP regen while you wait for a gank (every bit counts). Tibbers should be your stun for every fight, or incinerate, never disintegrate.

Thanks for reading hahaha. Have fun ya'll.

Well, with a few games down my sleeves having tried both builds, I have a few things to say. I think you probably just play Annie a lot safer and potentially smarter, especially with what I expect would show up in early ganking.
I think we just take on different roles in the team. Let me show you a rough timeline of the differences in the two playstyles/builds that you have and I have.

Sorcerers boots + Mejal Soulstealer + RoA in 25 minutes with 7 stacks.
I loved dearly the extra movespeed and magic penetration and I was much more gank happy. The movespeed works fantastically well in both initiation and escaping, and the Soulstealer = incentive to gank. 2/3/5. Less kills than I hoped having an annoying Mundo as my top lane competitor.

2 x RoA + Basic Boots in 25 minutes, first one bought at 12 minutes.
I had just loads of HP and Mana. I did gank, but after my 2nd catalyst, though killing on the lane was fine with me. 4/0/0.

Now the difference after this came with the team fights. I think I simply hadn't adjusted to playing safely with your Annie build so my stacks stayed at a level 5 thereafter and my AP and lack of farm stuck with it at a 270. I probably should have farmed more on my lane first. I'm not going to say the build is bad (because it's not) nor am I going to blame bad play from my part (though it is really having decided to use your 'squishier' build), I think I just like to stay in the middle of a fight and take damage bahaha.

I realised why I rush 2 RoA's and it's because I hate the 10 minute timer. I find that late game I'm demanding more survivability with Annie and though Banshee's veil would be definitely a good choice, I just tend to lean towards the RoA with it's AP boost, hence earlier than later.

Anyway. Sad news is that I'm probably quitting LoL and getting things in my life in order first. The build will never hit Mobafire though people who read these can probably try it out for themselves.

Complete build (sorta haphazardly in order)
ROA x 2
Sorcs Boots
Rylai
Zhonya
Archangel/Void

Play aggressive. Do the 'Hadoken suggested by Alahric, but remember, unless ganking you are not the iniator. Keep pyro up if you find yourself pushing too far (or allowed to is usually a sign), and simply last hit. If a squishy decides to gank you, sometimes you can just turn and blast the hell out of them. One fun trick is to keep Pyro on 4 to induce the gank. Pop Disintegrate then Tibbers immediately.

Though full of hp, you're not a god. You don't have armor, you don't have MR. You just cast fast, seriously spam Q W in a fight, and aim their DPS. If the tanks target you (aka Garen, Trundle etc), you can choose to draw them away from your team (therefore your team can attack their squishies), or if there's 3 tanks on you, don't be afraid to burst the hell out of the group of tanks. The theory of not hitting tanks doesn't apply when you:

a) Can't reach DPS
b) Can kill the tanks faster than they can kill you (because of constant stun + molten armor)
c) The splash damage simply IS worth it.

God it's sad to see that you're gonna make a Kennen guide, I would totally comment on it, though recently someone posted a new Kennen guide which pretty much is what I do with him.

Oh. Lastly, please don't stand still. With the HP you have, even though it looks like you're below halfway, it's still a hefty 1000 HP to take down at LEAST. If you're being chased by 1 or 2 in the jungle or anywhere with brush, just seriously juke the hell out of them while you charge up the 5 needed for stun. You can often turn around a situation, and 5 spells sounds a lot, but to be perfectly honest it really is more like 4 (since the stunning spell counts as a spell).

Maybe I'll still come back and read to contribute :P

Hmm. I'm not sure if I understood 100% (mainly the decisively comment) of your reply but hoping that I did,
Ehm.. hehe, I got a little carried away. Maybe I should just try out Kennen, still do make a guide :3

Come to think of it, that was rude as hell of me.

Hmm. I'm not sure if I understood 100% (mainly the decisively comment) of your reply but hoping that I did, I'm going to hope to address a few reasons for my build as well as provide more accurate information. Definitely one of the reasons that your build has been working so successfully is for the balance that's been found between the two, but having been using your build for a long time now and finding myself focused down early in a team fight even with correct positioning (mainly CC'd by well-aimed silences and stuns), I found myself too frustrated.

I do agree with the idea of Banshee's veil but I tried to replace it with another RoA so that I could continue to deal additional damage that I wouldn't be outputting with the megatron cloak (though clearly the spell-block would solve a great deal of problems...).

The real philosophy with this build is not to deal all of the damage but instead to soak up a lot of damage incoming to your team, and my damage isn't exactly lacking at 300-400 AP (and I had mistyped that I had an Incomplete Zhonya, I had actually not even started it). The last item of Archangel staff (though the game will be decided by this point) synergises with the extra MP I've been pumping. Another typo I apologise for is that the other Annie was starting her Zhonya (not deathfire).

I'm going to play a few games now (I know I should have before replying) and going to switch a few items out according to your suggestions, focusing mainly on the earlier boots and the banshee's if the focused problem persists.

Meh. Let you know how it goes.

I was halfway through writing my own guide for Annie when I decided that I'm simply not bothered to write it out and plus, the mainstream guides always get the attention and anyone who does anything else is considered a complete scrub but nevertheless here's my 50 cents on Annie.
Actually, mine is a bit outdated and poorly constructed. I wouldn't mind a substitute for more updated strategies; something that's a bit more in-depth. I mean I barely even play Annie myself..

Keep writing, I'm sure there are loads of improvements you can think of.

Catalyst -> boots -> ROA.
Complete a second ROA before finishing boots.
Go for Rylai /and Zhonya's, order depends on the game.

Masteries 9/21/0
Playstyle is of course highly essential to your build, that's why we strongly encourage a good description. I once read an Annie guide on how double RoA was better suited beginners, as it does solve your mana issues and give you more survivability. As for survival, you should have gotten a Banshee's Veil if there was too much focus imo, just my first impressions of the build.

You see the problem is; if you don't deal any damage, what is your purpose? It's an ordeal, I know, but you are basically saying casters aren't viable. If you want to play a "tank" Annie like that, you might as well go with an AoE focus Tank like Amumu in the first place.

You think of my Annie as a Mage, I don't use Deathfire nor do I focus all that much on AP. I follow the Warlock pricibles as well: Stamina (health) = last longer = more DPS. Spellpower is also important, AP, to find the balance between both is to master Annie. This guide was based upon Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Health and AP + Slow, not Soulstealer or Voidstaff and Zhonya's. Will I try the build? Do I support it? Not really, I need my boots and Catalyst is overrated. Otherwise I will aim more decisively than you, but what of my fanbase and simplicity?

I guess I'm giving all of you the middle finger in the name of transition, except for you Garsnuckle.
Keep playing and see what you find out, I will need your thoughts on the next one as I want to play her my way.

I definitely am not playing Ranked but I AM playing Solo queue at Lvl 30. The past 30 games I've lost 4 with the build I'm about to suggest.

Catalyst -> boots -> ROA.
Complete a second ROA before finishing boots.
Go for Rylai (or Zhonya depending on how much you're getting focused), and then complete the one that had previously been ignored.

Masteries 9/21/0.
Reason: [Utility Masteries] [EDIT] don't benefit [this build enough], while this survivability build totally gets supported by the 21 in defense.

The reason for the build: In other games Annie is going to get focused down if there's no bigger threat, but regardless Annie is the 1st, 2nd, rarely 3rd choice in a team fight. Unlike other 1-trick-ponies, Annie can give sustained DPS and continuous stun in a team fight, as well as help 'tank' some of the focused damage.

Playing another Annie who used your build, the difference midgame was 1.5k HP and 120 AP as she went Mejal and I went for Catalyst. As she began her deathfire I finished my ROA, and with HP/Lvl runes I was running around with 3.3k HP before I began my Rylai.

This build helped because the focus was often me, because despite my 'lower' dps, my AP still sat at a healthy 300 with 4.2k HP late game with Zhonya incomplete as well as an item slot open.

The other Annie had 550 AP with 2.2k HP and 1 item slot open.

I would take my stats anyday. If you're interested and try it, go ahead and write a guide for it :).

Otherwise it's ust my 50 cents :).

Abyssal is an OK sub for Voidstaff. It doesn't help with MP nearly as much for your spells; however, if you have other casters on your team, it helps their spells penetrate. It has pretty good MR though.

I never use it with Annie, but sometimes with Nunu I'll make the substitution.

I find it extremly ironic how you managed to explain the matter better than I did, I suppose that's good enough but it does lack magic resist. Maybe I should got for Abyssal instead of Voidstaff in some matches, as if I'd get it in time.
