I'm summoner SomethingChaotic on the NA servers and this is my "support" Tryndamere guide based on mathematical stats. :)

Pros & Cons

Pros:
-Q and lifesteal give very good sustain.
-W is a massive(80) AD reduction and a 4 second slow(if enemies aren't facing you) on an 8.5 second cooldown!
-E 5.4 CD dash that can be lowered further if you critically strike(this build has 95% critical strike chance)! High mobility.
-R You're invincible for 5 seconds on a 54 second cooldown(It will be up ALMOST every time you need it).
-45% tenacity.
-40% CDR.
-Late game you're another carry to fear.
-Great duelist.

Cons:
-W doesn't always slow.
-Less damage than full damage Tryndamere builds.
-Somewhat prone to being kited(your W & E on such short cooldowns really help to prevent this).
-Usually focused in teamfights.
-You're "support".
-Usually less wards on the map.
-Somewhat weak early game.
-People will call you a troll.


Guide Top

Abilities

Passive, Battle Fury, gain 5 Fury for striking a unit or 10 Fury for a critical strike, and 10 extra Fury for killing a unit. When out of combat for 8 seconds, lose 5 fury every second.

Excellent passive that gives free 35% critical chance when full Fury (35% critical chance is worth 1750 gold! 1750 gold worth of COMPLETELY FREE STATS!)

Q, Bloodlust, Passive: Tryndamere thirsts for blood, gaining 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 Attack Damage plus 0.15 / 0.2 / 0.25 / 0.3 / 0.35 per 1% Health missing.

Yet another excellent skill that gives COMPLETELY FREE STATS! This ablity is worth AT LEAST 900 gold depending on how much health you're missing.

Active: Tryndamere consumes his Fury, restoring 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 Health (+30 (+1.2 per Fury consumed)% of Ability Power), plus 0.5 / 0.95 / 1.4 / 1.85 / 2.3 Health per Fury consumed.

A FREE heal that heals between 74-390 lategame on a 7.3 second cooldown

W, Mocking Shout, Decreases surrounding champions' physical damage by 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80, and enemies with their backs turned also have their movement speed slowed by 30 / 37.5 / 45 / 52.5 / 60%. Lasts 4 seconds.

Another godly skill for Tryndamere, AoE attack damage debuff to ALL enemy champions within range of this skill. Removes 80 physical attack damage from every enemy within range of this skill. Let's do some math, a longsword costs 360 gold for 10 AD, so therefore each 1 point of AD has a value of 36 gold, which means when this ability is maxed you're stealing 2880 gold worth of items from each champion you hit with his skill. That's potentially 14400 gold you're taking away from the enemy team. That's an ENTIRE player worth of gold midgame! ...did I mention it slows 60% for 4 seconds if they're not facing you and it's on an 8.5 second cooldown

E, Spinning Slash, Tryndamere spins through his enemies, dealing 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+100% of ability power) (+1.2 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to enemies in his path. Spinning Slash's cooldown is reduced by 1 second whenever Tryndamere critically strikes (2 seconds upon critically striking an enemy champion).

Full build this is a 523.12 damaging 660 ranged nuke on a 5.4 second cooldown that can be reduced further by critically striking! I believe this is called OP...

R (Ultimate), Undying Rage, Tryndamere becomes completely immune to death for 5 seconds, refusing to be reduced below 1 Health and instantly gaining 50 / 75 / 100 Fury.

I can't even begin to express how GODLY this skill is. YOU CAN'T DIE while this skill is up. AMAZING ability on a 54 second cooldown. You could theoretically be invincible 10% of every minute.

Masteries


I go 9/21/0 so that Tryndamere is safe enough to make it to mid/lategame.

Offense Tree:

Sorcery- to help get to 40% cdr.
Brute Force - for free AD lategame.
Expose Weakness - 1% extra damage from your whole team to whoever you hit with your W or E
Martial Mastery - 4 free AD all game. (This is better than Executioner because 80% of the time your opponent will not be under 20% health.

Defense Tree:
Block - Reduces incoming basic auto-attack damage by 2. (Very good for a support, you will take less damage all game).
Recovery - 2hp/5 to help you stay in lane longer or just barely survive after your ult and piss the enemy off ;)
Unyielding - Reduces 2 auto-attack damage from melee champions and 1 auto-attack damage from ranged champions.
Veteran Scars - 36 health. More health to stay alive. Plain and simple.
Oppression - Reduces damage taken by 3% from enemies that have impaired movement (slows, snares, taunts, stuns, etc.) Since you will constantly be using your W, you will very consistently be taking 3% less damage from everyone your W hits.
Juggernaut - 3% max health. Even more health to stay alive, good synergy with Spirit Visage.
Hardiness - 5 armor. Makes your health more effective all game.
Perseverance - Regenerates 1% of missing health every 5 seconds. Good synergy with Spirit Visage.
Swiftness - Reduces the effectiveness of slows by 10%. Basically means you can escape dangerous situations easier and are less prone to being caught out.
Reinforced Armor - Reduces damage taken from critical strikes by 10%. Anyone who buys critical strike now does 10% less damage to you when they critically strike you.
Second Wind - Increases self-healing, Health Regen, Lifesteal, and Spellvamp by 10% when below 25% Health. I cannot describe how many times this 1 mastery point will save you from dying after getting down to 1 hp. MUST HAVE.
Legendary Guardian - +1 Armor and 0.5 Magic Resist for each nearby enemy champion. Extra durability all game, most importantly in teamfights.
Tenacious - Reduces the duration of crowd control effects by 15%. Tryndamere is very weak to CC, this helps him tremendously. Lessens kiting, getting stunned/slowed/taunted/rooted/feared/polymorphed. MUST HAVE. This is the only other source of Tenacity besides Zephyr that you will or even can get.

Runes


My typical runepage.
- 2 armor seals to add to the 6 armor we miss out on from masteries for a total of 8.
- 40% attack speed to get closer to the attack speed cap.

Other choices:

Marks:
- Attack Damage. Strong and reliable all game to help with basic attacks and lasthitting.
- Armor Penetration. Stronger than AD marks mid to lategame and in certain situations.
- Critical Strike Chance. More critical strikes all game.
- Critical Strike Damage. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR RANKED! For a fun game where you know you'll critically strike a lot and want to see big numbers. :)

Seals:
- Armor. Helps give more effective physical damage resistance at all stages of the game.
- Health. Gives more effective health early game.
- Scaling health. Gives most effective health lategame.
- Critical Strike Damage. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR RANKED! For a fun game where you know you'll critically strike a lot and want to see big numbers. :)

Glyphs:
- Magic Resist. Helps give more effective magic damage resistance at all stages of the game.
- Scaling Magic Resist. Helps give more effective magic damage resistance at level 6+ than flat magic resists runes.
- Health. Gives more effective health early game.
- Scaling health. Gives most effective health lategame.
- Critical Strike Damage. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR RANKED! For a fun game where you know you'll critically strike a lot and want to see big numbers. :)

Quintessences:
- Lifesteal. Get back extra health on every autoattack! A very close second place!
- Attack Damage. Strong and reliable all game to help with basic attacks and lasthitting.
- Armor Penetration. Stronger than AD marks mid to lategame and in certain situations.
- Movement Speed. If you feel you need more speed to engage/disengage or just in general.
- Critical Strike Chance. More critical strikes all game.

Renekton: 7/10. He does lots of AoE damage and is typically very tanky. You can 1v1, but I wouldn't recommended it. Early Botrk recommended.
Rengar: 6/10. His rework made him pretty weak imo. Early Botrk recommended, keep a pink ward on you.
