Now when you look at my summoner you're immediately going to think, oh this guy is silver, what in the world is he going to tell me that's useful. Well. The fact that I have a 70+% Win Rate, and I hyper carry, or allow my team to hyper carry in 90% of the games that I play should be more then enough reason for you to listen. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE STARTING JUNGLE WITH NO LEASH
If you are starting red side jungle start with the jungle item that gives you the mana sustain.
If you are starting blue side start with the jungle item that gives you life steal.

If the usual jungler will start bot, track his general movements. More then likely you can setup a sick countergank, or at least ward and make him visible so you can ping him out.

If all your lanes are pushed up, don't be afraid to TELL your teammates to let the enemy laner push up so you can gank. If they don't listen, buy PINKS and set up vision for your laners so THEY don't die to ganks.

Remember, Evelynn scales really well into the mid-late game, so if you aren't comfortable ganking just powerfarm.

It will always be easier for you to gank bot because of your ult gives you a bigger shield the more people you hit with it. Top is also a good choice, but it is usually pretty difficult to kill the top laner without ignite.

Ask for CD, it doesn't matter if your laner doesn't have ult or flash, or if they are on genereal CD. Just wait.

Flame, to yourself. If you type it out in chat you will usually just end up tilting your own teammates.

Evelynn CANNOT carry a game by herself. I have tried and it has not worked. You need to get a solo laner fed. So pick a lane and continue ganking them, but remember, if you show mid a lot, the enemy jungler will start taking objectives around the map or start showing mid a lot as well.

Pros

Very good at ganking (lane,river)
Extremely mobile with

Dark Frenzy reset
Amazing jungle clear time (doesn't need leash)
Has amazing map pressure when the enemy team has no vision of you
Really good in low elo (bronze,silver,gold,plat) because people just don't buy pinks
Good at taking out carries before team fights start

Cons

Relatively squishy
If the enemy team buys any number of pink wards you're screwed. If you get counter ganked and die you will be so far behind since you're running

Ignite and not Flash.
You don't have much of an escape except Dark Frenzy.

Ignite

I personally like ignite over Flash. Although Flash gives you the mobility, Ignite gives you kill pressure in the early game which will allow you to snowball. Play Video

You need Smite to jungle.

Evelynn abilities make her a very interesting assassin to play. I will explain each ability and why they make Evelynn so unique.

Shadow Walk (P)

When out of combat, Evelynn enter Camouflage only being able to be seen by nearby enemy champions or Control Wards. While Camouflaged, she rapidly regenerates Mana. If you're low on Mana, just running to your next camp will usually regenerate 50-60% of it.

Hate Spike (Q)

Evelynn fires a line of spikes through an enemy, dealing damage to all enemies in its path. This skill allows Evelynn to farm really consistently in the jungle. Especially with the new Raptor and Krugs camps.

Dark Frenzy (W)

Evelynn passively increases her Movement Speed when hitting enemy champions with her spells. Upon activation, Evelynn breaks free from slows affecting her and gains a massive Movement Speed boost for a short duration. This spell allows you to kit enemies, resets on kills and assists, and allows you to chase down enemies that have flashed away.

Ravage (E)

Evelynn slashes her target twice, dealing damage with each hit. She then gains increased Attack Speed for a short duration. Whats really interesting is the interaction with Evelynn Hate Spike and her Auto Attacks. You can Hate Spike while autoing.

Agony's Embrace (R)

Evelynn summons spikes from the ground to deal damage and slow enemies in the area. She then gains a shield based on how many enemy champions were hit. This ability is a bit strange to me. Assassins are usually pretty squishy and this just lets her become a tank for a couple seconds within a team fight. It is nice for the AOE slow and the shield, which will let you get close enough to the enemy carry and burst them.
