Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
I really like the "Jax: Dodge, Dodge, Killing Spree!" build that BigDowny made. But it just bothered me that Jax's abilities all ramp up based on Ability power.
Leap Strike - Jax leaps toward a target. If it's an enemy, he smacks it in the face with his lamppost.
Jax leaps towards a target. If it's an enemy, he attacks it and deals an additional 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.8) magic damage. improved damage based on 80% AP
Counter Strike - Jax's prowess allows him to dodge enemy attacks frequently. After avoiding an attack Jax can quickly stun surrounding enemies.
Passive: Increases Jax's dodge chance by 10/12/14/16/18%.
Active: Jax stuns surrounding enemies for 1 second and deals 80/100/120/140/160 (+0.6) magic damage to them. improved damage based on 60% AP
Empower - Jax's charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to damage all nearby enemies.
Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal an additional 40/60/80/100/120 (0.2 + ) magic damage to all nearby enemies. improved damage based on 20% AP
So basically we change itemization to include the bonus for AP to his skills as well as damage and we change Glyphs to use ability cooldown so that we can jump on people more often. And his dodge percent goes way up.
