I agree with Falkos, and you really need an for that AP, and only one heavy AS item is enough. I like to get a , but it's a personal favorite. I voted earlier +1

I've tried builds like this, with some moderate success. I hope to improve my AP/AS Kassadin build though. From what i have found though, you need to transition into an AS Build after level 6 with riftwalk. Which means you build more traditionally early game and don't get netherblade until level 5 or 7, then max it around level 12. Also get more traditional AP items to start. Also, Don't get maladoy or nashors right away but get fiendish codex and 2 tomes. Then when you have some of that AP as well as riftwalk, you then upgrade those components to their AS side. This gives you a bit more early game presence and might get a kill or two. AS Kass TOO early just weakens an already weak early game IMO.
