Explanation:

The trick with Ap Carry Soraka is tankyness, the more you stay alive the more Starcall [Q] you can cast, and the more they stack the more damgage they deal.

So in order for this to work you need tanky items that also increases damage.

Magic Penetration Breakdown!

8% Magic Penetration (43% with Void Staff)
30 Magic Penetration
19,53 Magic Penetration (Runes)
20 Magic Resist Reduction
12x10 = 120 Magic Resist Reduction (Starcall fully stacked)

% Magic Penetration is applied first since the beginning of Season3
Then flat Magic Penetration, and then Magic Resist Reduction.
so this enables us to put our enemies far below 0 magic armor.

lets say an enemy has 120 Magic armor. (we calculate this with a full build and Void Staff)

120 - 43% = 68,4 Magic Armor - (Arcane Knowledge[talent] & Void Staff)

68,4 - 30 = 38,4 Magic Armor - (Sorcerer's Shoes & Liandry's Torment)

38,4 - 19,53 = 18,87 Magic Armor - (Magic Penetration Runes)

18,87 - 20 = -1,13 Magic Armor - (Abyssal Scepter)

-1,13 - 12 = -13,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-13,13 - 12 = -25,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-25,13 - 12 = -37,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-37,13 - 12 = -49,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-49,13 - 12 = -61,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-61,13 - 12 = -73,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-73,13 - 12 = -85,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

-85,13 - 12 = -97,13 Magic Armor - (Starcall) [Q]

so from 120 magic armor to -121,13 magic armor... HOLY ****! ofcause it will take around 24-49 seconds to apply this kind of redcution. you will probably "only" get to a maximum of -61,13 / -73,13 magic armor reduction in a team fight. but wait, there is MORE!

Starcall is AoE! And affects ALL targets hit with the Liandry's Torment effect!
AND Liandry's Torment & Sunfire Cape damage is also increased from All this Magic Armor 1337'ness

Also the Magic Armor Reduction from Starfall & Abyssal Scepter also benefits magic damage from team mates... so a 20-140 magic armor reduction for teammates aswell! talk about power...
so Stay alive, Spam Starcall. AND WATCH THEM CRUMBLE!
