This is my first serious Guide on Mobafire.

As a veteran player I am playing League for 7 years now and since the beginning I knew that you can play AP Kog'Maw, later i found there were guides for AP Kog.

Note: This won't be the prettiest guide out there, mainly because this is my first time making a guide, but it is definetly the best.

What is a Kog'Maw

A Kog'Maw, let's call him Koggi is simply a lovely "Thing" that kills you with his lunch from yesterday... well... more or less.
Anyway, he isn't nice, no matter how cute he looks, he is dangerous!
Don't feed him or he will explode and we all will die.

Well that's a Koggi

Pros

+ High burst Damange
+ Strong early and mid game
+ Wins 1 vs 1 against almost everybody
+ Easy Roaming
+ Easy Farming
+ Can play defensivley with Bio-Arcane Barrage
+ Armor Pen and Magic Pen with Caustic Spittle
+ Living Artillery can be spammed all day

Cons

- No escape skills
- The higher the elo the harder it will be to play Koggi
- Squishy
- Totally lost without vision

Do I even have to say something about it?

Can secure your life sometimes if it's ignite or an 1 vs 1 or if you know you're dead you can atleast try to deal damage and then take a kill with your passive

Logically a good option, but you're missing barrier safety and you can mostly just teleport for defensive reasons

Can secure you the first blood, but it won't help you much in late games, always try to stay out of range

This will make your enemy cry. It's always helpful, but shouldn't be used too often. If you die in a Teamfight, it will deal true damage to help your team. You can secure a kill after you've been the First Blood or you just can be an exploding ward - This is no joke ;) Vision matters!

Nice burst, it's even doing more damage than Void Ooze , but it's not so easy to hit. You get armor and maguc penetration. If you're able to always use this to start the fight. It is especially useful if you play 1 vs 1 against a tanky champion.

Range is nice so why not use it sometimes. You also get some more damage to your auto-attacks. It can help you farming in hard situations and is always a chance to burst your enemy after you've hit Void Ooze.

BURST! BURST! BURST! That's the skill that makes Koggi still viable. All enemies hit get massive burst damage and are slowed too! It's easy to farm a full minion wave with it, but also to screw your enemys. It also looks beautiful if Koggi is casting it.

SPAM! SPAM! SPAM! And spam! Doing unbelievable damage and can be spammed all day. Also makes additional execute damage. Not more to say, but

SPAM

You will waste tons of mana, really tons! Or Koggi isn't viable at all. But luckily there is Lost Chapter. i tried to play Koggi with Rod of Ages and Archangel's Staff , it worked really well, you had more HP and Zhonya's Hourglass wasn't a "must have" anymore, but there was no damage for like the half of the game, even if youre farming well, it's not so good.

Just buy Zhonya's Hourglass earlier or later.

Improve your burst with Rabadon's Deathcap .

As long as you don't need heal reduction, you don't need Morellonomicon . Caustic Spittle is your magic penetration.

Void Staff for the late game.

Liandry's Torment will increase your damage due to the fact that your fights may be very long using your R.

Spellvamp doesn't exist anymore like we knew it back in the day, but Hextech Gunblade can be an option.

So, AP Kog'Maw is a lot of fun and he is a bursting machine or well... a spamming machine.
You can play him in every elo, and there is always a lot of fun in normal games. But in High elo you shouldn't try to play him without a "matchplan". He will be an easy focus and an easy kill. But anyway he is big fun to play.

There are many ways to play him, and I tried different builds, but this one is the best that i could "find" and it's awesome to play him.
