Introduction
I have done this plently of times in ranked, its a good way to have them pick someone like Ez or Draven, and your AD gets a free chance to counter pick them.
this is important, your E is 70% of your damage because of the slow/magic damage you can open with it and get some AA's in before they leave its aoe.
i would ONLY suggest getting a point in double up early IF you have a sheen, otherwise the initial damage and second hit isn't that useful.

This is the fun time of AP MF, always everyone in draft picks will think your ADC and will never expect a mid mf, use this to your advandatage. this is most of the itme cause their picks to counter and save for later mid/top picks.
IF your team has good tanking/high cc, you will be almost gaurenteed a win with MF
make sure in picks that people know your going mf and u need the CC, if they pick hard cc against you. you will be relying alot on early kills and snowballing because a shutdown ap mf lacks so much if not looked after.
