Introduction

Hi there. It's me. Your favorite off-meta Taric god here. I have around 700 games on him and I've build everything possible on him. Any role, any position, anything, I've made it work. You give me an item, I will challenge you that I will build that item, and I will build it effectively. My first challenge was to build an AP Mid Taric. To start, I will say that I have definitely done this before, and with success. This build in particular is the best AP Taric mid build out there. (Probably the only to-date Taric Mid build out there.) But, other than that, please enjoy my build.

And remember. League of Legends is about having fun, not winning games.
Thank you!

Runes

For my runes, I run the simple yet useful:
3x Quintessence of Armor
9x Mark of Armor
9x Seal of Health
9x Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist

The reasoning behind these:
I tested this build out with my usual 'All Flat Armor Except Flat MR Blue's' page. It didn't work nearly as well as this page because there was a lot of champions that I ended up facing that were slow immobile FULL AP mages. ( Syndra, looking at you, babe.) So, the health in the beginning is really nice until you get your items that you want, and the scaling magic resist is useful when you want to sustain in lane long enough to actually get farm.

See, if you're finding a recurring pattern in my builds, it's that I'm really good at playing Taric, even when it's probably not the best idea. These builds are not for the average Joe Taric player. These builds, are for ADVANCED players that want to challenge themselves. To a challenge. So. Let's continue, shall we?

Masteries

There's not much to say here.
Thunderlord's Decree is for the poke in lane when you get up close and personal to them, Dazzle, Bravado Bravado will proc this and deal a lot of hurt. So, take this regardless.

And, I would also like to note out that this isn't my usual Taric mastery page, of course, since it is a mid lane build. The masteries aren't perfected, but if you guys have some ideas for what would be better than what I currently have, I would love to hear them, so please drop a comment! Thanks!

Items

A normal mage mid lane would really not benefit from an items chapter, because all of the items on them are self-explanatory. For Taric, however, this is definitely not the case at all. I have to explain every single thing I take. In. Depth.

Morellonomicon: A lot of cooldown reduction, a lot of mana, a lot of AP, not expensive. This is a must have.

Ardent Censer: This is also a really good item to have even mid lane, because of its mana regeneration, its AP, it's cooldown reduction, and its +10% healing and shielding power. In case you have forgotten, you are playing Taric mid lane. This item is also a must have. Well, not really a must have, as much as it is a really good item to have.

Hextech Rocketbelt: Ya gotta get in there. Ya gotta get up close and personal with the enemy mid laner. You have to start your stun, proto over to their face, and watch them helplessly Flash away, or die in your beautiful Dazzle. This item also gives health, a good active, and finishes your 40%CDR. Also, AP! Good item!

Mercury's Treads: I like this item for not only the Magic Resist in it, but also the tenacity you get from them. It's reduced cc power, so it's really good against cc mages like Annie, Syndra, and the like. I like this item, and would recommend it over most of the other booties out there.

Warmog's Armor: No matter where I am, what role I'm playing, and even whatever champion I'm playing at the moment, I always feel the need to buy this item. It's just so good, the passive activates at 2,750 health now instead of 3,000, and it's absolutely wonderful. The runes that you have are supremely enhanced once you build and finish this item. Health! Cooldown Reduction to get you to 45%! Health regen up the butt! Cooperating with Thornmail, this is a wonderful item that I rarely ever pass up.

Thornmail: I think this item is a must on Taric, wherever you go. You have a great passive on it, and your Dazzle AND your Bastion AND your Bravado scale with this. This is a great. If they have an ADC, get it. Please. This will save your life and hurt theirs very FREQUENTLY. Also, together with Warmog's Armor, give a great combo.

And I think that just about covers it! If you have any questions or suggestions about any of the other items I might have missed, please just leave a comment, I again will try to reply to that as soon as I can!
