I love your guild so much and playing AP Trist is really fun. I can dominate the lane so easy and easy gank the others as well. However, it's very difficult to contribute in late game team fights (except in the jungle) since she will die immediately after jump in :(
My autoattack doesn't deal signification damage and I am hesitant to use my Ult since it will push back the target.

So yeah, picked tristana meaning to play her as ad and realized caitlin had already been picked, so i was forced mid. Having never played ap trist, I hurriedly opened a mobafire guide, checked the items, and then proceeded to mid against morgana. I end up getting FB at 6 and completely snowballing out of control. Fun hero!

Taking Brute Force is way better on almost all AP carries when you compare it to Mental Force . You could also take Demolitionist which is pretty awesome as well for AP carries. Havoc is pretty bad, so you can take away 1 point from that.

You should ALWAYS start with Boots of Speed in mid. Simply because you can dodge skillshots easier and hit your skills as well.

How about starting with Explosive Shot? I have never played AP Tristana but it seems the more logical choice to me.

Again, you should work on the appearance of your guide. Make good use of columns and custom artwork!

I miss a section about warding. Try to tell when and where to ward, and add screenshots!

I also miss a lane match up list. For every champion you encounter in mid, write some tips about how to beat him/her, if you change items/item order, etc.

Thanks a lot :). I understand your logic and I used to think like you. Tristana's autoattack range isn't abusable early game, I wouldn't get the AD. And the Demolitionist mastery is just pointless xD. I'm sure you can understand that we have different opinions. I'd like you to check high-elo guides and see that they pretty much all think the same way I do :P.

In the guide I tell people to choose between Doran's Ring and Boots of Speed. Don't worry, I know that you should always Boots of Speed in mid but this guide is not meant for serious play and most of the time (from my experience) Doran's Ring is much more noob-friendly... However I did change the cheat sheet.

For starting with E, you are incredibly right and I wonder why I put Rocket Jump as my first skill on the guide since I don't even do that when I play AP Tristana X_X?. Thanks for pointing out.

Ahhh, the appearance of my guide x.x lol. I wonder if my making my item section like the one in my Master Yi guide would be fine? Could you please take a minute to check it please :S?

Wonderful build and guide, I play AP tris a good deal and this pretty much covers it.
The only changes I make myself:
I start with E, it makes more sense to have a free ignite/minion EXPLOSIONS
and I put Rylai's first, replacing Lich Bane. I prefer the constant slows and survivability -shrugs-

First of all I love this guide! Helped me a lot! I got a question on how to get the combo going. When i am jumping i dont succeed in using grasp and E in air. Should i start using smart casts or how should it work. Normally i am playing jungle only and have to get used to ap carries.

If you go the combo section again and read it again, you will see that when you get Deathfire's Grasp, the combo changes to:

1: Rocket Jump (Jump in the air)
2: Deathfire Grasp
3: Rocket Jump (Land on enemy)
4: Explosive Shot
5: Ignite
6: Buster Shot

The reason is that it is quite hard to use both Deathfire and E while in the air. When you're in the air, the time in which you can cast spells is very short and Explosive Shot shot already has a casting time so it makes it kinda really hard to use both Deathfire and E. Most of the time, even if you're used to AP tristana, pressing your buttons too fast will screw up your combo and make you lose damage. (Sometimes I think I used E on the enemy in the air but I didn't so I push them away with R thinking they'll die... but nope they don't lol)

I just suggest that you simply use E when you land on the enemy. You can try to use Deathfire and E in the air but I suggest smartcasting (I personally just hold shift) and a lot of practice xD. If you don't smartcast, you can pretty much forget about it xD.
