"The AP Carries:" so i wrote a little clarification on naming them "assasins" and claryfying why they are named that way "They specialize on killing enemy champions".
than i wrote my statement about what i consider a true carry and his role.
(this part had no connection with your comment tbh.)
And ended with question how does he think of a carry.
If you felt offended or anything sry than. I write alot of stuff so sometimes it's hard to understand my flow of thinkin (if i can call it that way).
And yes i write alot and read alot, also your comments Ala :)
Well did you read that?
They are considered an assasin as far as i know. They specialize on killing enemy champions giving others chance to kill towers when they are dead.
In my eyes a carry is a champion that can kill creep waves without problems and with superb speed, also and most important effectivly destroying towers.
Depends how does he think about "carry" :)
Easiest way... rightclick ahse, but playing that char is just boooooring...
Heavy carry when you like tanking champs? imho try Jax...
Tbh Alagric... i am afraid of ruining other ppl game while trying to make Yi AP based. I just cant see any good point in it tbh... as i said you can try it on practice and i think i will just stick to that...
Sunfire Eve has that WTF lol part, playing AP Yi... hmmm...
"1. You lose a great deal of farming potential"
Hmmmmm... what about that "chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions." part? :>
Well i am glad this had so much comments, and constructive talk tho :)
So... you lose a great deal of farming potential imo.
I think you can reach more than 500 AP, so Alpha Strike + Lich Bane would deal a little bit more damage... Just by the way
THOUGH i agree with DEWO, Dps is better^^
Better Damage, Lifesteal (Bloodthirster), etc.
@ Wicked
Hmmm Try these Items on Evelynn^^
Lets count that you have 500AP and you alpha strike the whole team:
300+500=800 damage to 4 targets (if there are no mobs around ofc. and if we dont count the Magic resist)
I'll give you an example of AD with all items.
450AD+109 Base AD = 559 damage + 150% (crit with infinity) = 1397 damage. (you have Tiamat by that time also so you deal nearly 1400 crits to everyone that is close (and we count that they are close just like with alpha strike right?)
hmmm 1400 crits 2 times per sec. (also not counting armor just like magic res).
In my opinion its not even close. :) well... i would try it but ONLY on practice game, never on normal game. Its just making your team go 4v5 :)
and srsly tank runes? on Yi? one of the most squishy chars ingame?
Also about runes you use on this build. CDR? on Yi? when he resets all cd's with ulti? useless. Get idk... yellow dodge, blue ap/lvl?
I play yi AD and AP. just depends on the team. If they have squishy champs who dont have high base HP,armor,MR then i go AP cause it works really well with no problems.
Still you guys are not understanding what this post is about. I asked for constructive feedback about the build. Not negative things. I wanted to see if any AP yi players out there had some tips or even liked the build i use.
Why shouldn't I do AP?
"even tho it's obvious"?
1. You lose a great deal of farming potential
2. You will not be a great turret destroyer
3. You will not be able to DPS like crazy
These are things that make Master Yi so good to have in your team, he destroys turrets like "Whoosh!" and kills enemies even faster. His abilities to farm makes him able to get the gold needed for his items and he is in fact a great jungler too. AP Yi does not value these things, he only has healing tank ability that's like applying CC yourself, a fairly weak overall nuke, and after that he is kind of useless.
That's why you get negative feedback, but your thumb rules should be the three sentences every Yi player have to know:
1.Be careful early game and stay in lane for as long as possible.
2.Don't die.
3.Don't be greedy.
That's basically the main thing about Yi, I play by these rules too.
Not really since there are three different types of "Carries":
The Physical Carries:
• Master Yi
• Ashe
• Katarina
• Shaco
• Jax
This is the primary carry and is the only type of carry that's really considered a "Carry". These champions HAVE to get fed to do well, unlike Soraka and other casters, supports, and tanks. Some of them will still do good but once they get fed it's GG, I mean they will become (almost) unstoppable. The thing about these carries is that they deal alot of DPS but they tend to be easy to kill.
The AP Carries:
• Karthus
• Sion
• Ryze
• Veigar
These generally just fail at carrying the whole team, mainly because they are not meant to. But if the team can back them up they can easily kill anyone within their grasp. The main problem is that Casters can't win the game unless they are INCREDIBLY FED! I'm saying they are inefficient in comparrison to physical champions to win game since they can't destroy structures very well.
The Tank Carries:
• Mordekaiser
• Cho'gath
• Dr. Mundo
• Shen
Tanks can carry the team aswell, what you want is to suck up as much damage as possible and keep enemies busy while going around killing everyone. This allows your team to deal as much damage as possible, and even backdoor ftw. They are not the "OMG HE 3 SHOTTED ME!!!" but more like "SON OF A **** WON'T DIE!!!", especially if you have a support champion with you.

I recommend doing a physical carry if you want to be the right carry type. You can choose Melee or Ranged, now that's up you. What you want to look for your champion, the champion YOU like to play!
Here are at least a few suggestions of great physical carries I recommend:
"Melee, these are the most potent ones"
• Katarina ****
• Jax ****
• Master Yi ****
• Gangplank ****
• Shaco ***
• Tryndamere ***
"Ranged, these tend to be more squichy"
• Ashe ****
• Sivir ****
• Tristana ****
• Twisted Fate ***
• Teemo ***
• Twitch ***
PS: All of these champions can get fed and win the game for you, do not get offended by my star rating! btw, no 5 stars cause that only belongs to one Champion, you already know who it is ^ ^,
It's not DotA! It's not Juggernaut that can hit same target with omnislash!
The meditate is insane... but ffs... we have tanks champs for that, 1 ignite or Executioner debuff and you are raped anyway.
95% of your damage is physical anyway.
and as you said: "I know everyone thinks its worthless and stupid" i totaly agree with this point.
Its not even fun, especialy for your team tbh... FUN is for example sunfire eve. I dont see the fun in standing and healing with meditate when ppl are whacking me.
This might work on lvls 1-5
Say there is a team battle and your tank runs in and all the AoE's start you can also AoE. 500-700 Magic Dmg to every enemy champ. Also coming patch his AS casts much faster. So its really good for team fights. Where as AD yi can cast that and only do 200 dmg.
Anyways thanks. i read all your guides :) and i look forward to playing with you sometime.
