Kamikaze: Boots of Swiftness - I used to run these boots all the time. I can't really remember how good it is to use them nowadays, but the utility of Mercury's Treads will never be surpassed by any other boots, and carries in the meta today choose Berserker's Greaves over all over boots.

It's up to personal choice :) Thank you very much for your comment, was a pleasant surprise to find comments on this guide ^^

Cailbern: A double kill is a start! :) 1-7-4 means you're probably out of position a lot in team fights. Make sure you stick behind your tank, and if you don't have a tank, maybe you shouldn't have picked Ashe ;) Try playing a little more defensively, and always make sure to kite with those Frost Shots.

Happy to find people still read my guide :) <3

Amazing guide, probably one of the most, if not the most in-depth guides I've seen so far.

I love this build <3
It really make me want to play Ashe again. Haha. As for the build, I love the layout and the formatting you did, your truely the master of coding, and such. You weren't just covering the basics, you where covering everything, and even more!
Now, I have a quick questions...

What if I spend more points in Hawkshot, so that I have a better late-game advantage as I could creep farm alot more, and carry a little more. For an example, if I am playing against a Annie, and I know that I have no chance to fight her, and I instead then go to level up Hawkshot, so I atleast can get a better late-game? OR is that just plain stupid?

Also, (this is not a question), I think Boots of Swiftness is kind of stupid to buy as Ashe. Let me explain why:
1. Ashe is not the champion you really chose to go and push in lanes with. And if you decide to Bezerk's Greaves is better IMO.
2. Ashe don't need the speed if she is beeing chased, as she got a slow that can be applied on EVERY SINGLE ATTACK!
3. It is far more expensive than Bezerk's Greaves, which is better IMO, as Bezerk's Greaves is nice with extra AS and then it is build from 2 items, apart from Boots of Swiftness, which is made out of only Boots of Speed.

So overall, I would even go for Ionian Boots, instead of Boots of Swiftness, as I think their pretty damn good, with CDR for more volley spam, and more hawkshots, and therefore I wonder why you haven't implemented Ionan.
(I am sorry, if you have, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere!)

+1 VOTE!

You CAN get more points in Hawkshot, but it's generally a weak ability to level up. Sometimes I get a second point to increase the range, but I wouldn't recommend anything past that. If you're having a bad early game, you should definitely be leveling Volley if you want to catch up.

Boots of Swiftness are very underrated. They actually work amazing, especially on slower champs like Ashe. The problem is that other boots generally offer better stats, so there's a lot of hate for this item. Jhoi explains that BoS are an OPTION, not a recommendation. I see no reason for her to remove it.

It's up to jhoi if she wants to add Ionian Boots of Lucidity. I'm not much of a fan since the ONLY reason you'd get them is for more Enchanted Crystal Arrows. The cooldown on Volley isn't an issue, Ashe is more of an auto attacker and lvl 5 Volley has a respectably low cooldown. More Hawkshots is definitely not a reason to buy CDR boots.

Also, 80 gold is not "far more expensive than Bezerk's Greaves." The price of boots makes little difference, it's the stats that count. Most games you should get Berserker's Greaves or Mercury's Treads, but I think Boots of Swiftness have some merit as well.

Thanks to MissMaw for the sig!

this is a very nice build, after looking at the core items I was thinking of alternatives to some like [Last Whisper] and after reading down further you had a very nice selection on alternate items, this guide has actually made me buy Ashe for that whopping 450 ip lol

As my avatar already shows: I love Ashe. For a long time she was one of my favourite champions. Well, actually I'm not playing as main champion anymore because I found some champions that are more fun for myself.
What I want to say with that: I'm pretty sure how you need to play Ashe. And your build honestly is showing all important facts. Everything is solid so far.
So only thing I dislike is that your guide is long. Dont get me wrong. You put a lot work into your guide and it' really fantastic. But at sometime a new player could lose the overlook and just get lost in your guide. For those reasons it's important to get a summary (either for the whole guide or a short "what-to-do"-list at the end of each section). Maybe just someone ended reaing a section / your guide and thinks "What have I actually read"? A summary is able to put that into his mind again. In addition to that it helps not to forget what you have read. Maybe you got a summary and I simple couldn't find it (I don't count your summary-chapter as real summar). Then I'm sorry for that but it actually shows the problem I'm talking about.

So far: A great guide if you really want to master Ashe.

Khazem: Thank you!

Corekodo: Don't tell anyone, but I actually level Hawkshot equally, or before Frost Shot, as I believe the increase of sight range and gold per minion kill is better than the increased slow for Volley/ Frost Shot. I just changed my guide to reflect demand.

In terms of Ionian Boots of Lucidity - they're really not meant for Ashe. Yes, Swiftness can be bad, but as PsiGuard said, they are just an option, not mandatory. I know I started with Swiftness Boots when I was a fresh Ashe, and they helped me learn how to position myself correctly :)

Thanks for the comment!

PsiGuard: Love your contributions to my guides ^^

Mr.Masticater: I'm glad you bought Ashe, and have fun with her, k? :) ^^ (also, you need double square brackets, so: [[last whisper]])

Ssyrak: The summary image tells you all you need to know, lol ^^ I don't know how it can be summarised more than that :) Thanks for the comment though!

Well, the summary image is similar to your cheat sheet and it truly helps when you are in the fight and just want to know what to build next or for fixing your masteries and summoner spells during champion selection.
When I was talking about summary I actually meant a pretty short explanation how to PLAY Ashe and not how to build her. Such a summary is not meant to be read during a fight but to rethink the words you read before. As I said this helps to remember what you read in the long section and to keep that in mind.

Ssyrak: Hmm. But wouldn't that make my guide even longer? :/ I think I could copy and paste and then paraphrase this certain section in my guide that is pretty much a summary, and put it at the top ^^ Thanks for the suggestion :)
