This is a pretty basic but uber build for Morgana. I put only the final items in the build so that the stats would be accurate. The stats do not account for boosts from Zonya's 25%, 3% Mana - AB boosts or the elixir. With all of this, the AP with 5 items and elixir is (321 + 65 + 0.03 * [3445]) * 1.25 = 611 AP

The bottom line with Morgana is to cast Tormented soul as often as possible. This will help dominate your lane and earn tons of gold, as well as keeping you very healed with her innate spell vamp. To do this, first you need enormous mana regen. Once you have this, get your CD reduction maxed at 40% (which this build does 15% Deathfire + 10% elixir + 6% runes + 9% masteries).

I'll normally start with Meki Pendant, and then go for Tears of the Goddess, Sorcerer's Shoes, Catalyst the Protector, Fiendish Codex. This allows me to start building my mana pool immediately, and Catalyst will help me stay in the lane with the huge mana boost with each level. I'll upgrade to final items in the order shown, Rod of Ages first to get the stats building on that item.

With all of this in place, Morgana becomes one serious nuker. Lead with item ability from Deathfire's Grasp, which at 600 AP will hit the enemy for 51% of his health. Follow with Soul Shackles - at this point they'll start running, snare with Dark binding, drop a Tormented Soil underneath. About the time the snare wears off, they should get hit with the second strike from Soul Shackles, stunning again.

Example:
7500 HP enemy with no MR (to make the math easy)
-3750 from Deathfire's Grasp
-950 1st hit from Soul Shackle
-850 Dark Binding
-1000 5 sec of Tormented Soil
-950 2nd hit from Soul Shackle

Dead

In a team fight, things are a bit tricky as Morgana is very squishy. If you can manage to hit multiple enemies with Soul Shackle and Tormented Soil, you can do a lot of damage quick and turn the tides of a battle.

If you don't feel like you need the extra health, you could swap the Rod of Ages for a Lich Bane. The 600 damage hit is quite nice, as is the magic resist and speed boost. But this is at the expense of quite a bit of health and mana, which also reduces the effect from the Archangels Staff. Mejai's is another option, possibly in place of the Archangel's (especially if you didn't get Rod of Ages). This may cause mana problems from losing the 25 mp5.

If the fight goes long enough, go for Lich Bane for sure, as it will at 112 AP with the other items in this build. This will bring your ability power to ~660 without elixir, and you should easily hit twice with the item ability during your nuke for a total of 1300+ damage. You will have lost the ability to drink elixirs, so you'll only have 30% CD reduction - hopefully someone on your team has Soul Shroud, although the CD reduction isn't as important for late game nuking.

Bottom Line - 40% cooldown reduction, 43 magic pen, 600+ AP, 2500+ HP
