This Build focuses on making Olaf a durable bowling ball of destruction! By late game you should have enough HP and Def. to off tank while having the offensive fire power to burn down anyone but the tankiest of tanks quickly! 1 v 1 you should dominate everyone!!!

This is what is great about Olaf! There are so many Pros... and hardly any Cons!

Pros: Very Durable character!

Able to chase well with skill shot Q
Able to stick on Carries during team battle
Lots of kills
Cons: Few escape abilities
High Item cost
Other team hates you... so you get targeted first!

Summoner Spells

Flash is a must here. Olaf's only real weakness is his lack of escape abilities. Flash helps out here. It's also very useful to finish off opponents! The second summoner spell is really kind of flexible. Smite of course if you decide to jungle. Ignite and exhaust are both very viable options in addition to Teleport. I prefer being able to Teleport for the option to push two lanes or assist an ally accross the map. It's also good just to get back to your own lane after your shopping trips!

HP HP HP right?!?! Well, yes and no. Olaf needs lots of HP to synergize with his skill set but he also needs some damage and attack speed to go along with it so he can kill faster than a blink of an eye! I listed two Final Item sets as you can see. One for a Tankier version if thats what you like or in some cases need. My main set has lots of HP mixed with at least 1 Armor and 1 Mdef Item to go along with a ton of Damage! It's very important that you get your Warmog's Armor early but I still like taking Phage first for the overall stat boost and it helps with early ganking.

The Main reason I like to take HP early for Olaf is Reckoning Swing! Early on this skill is devestating to every character, even those other beefcakes out there like yourself! Take your Ult(R) every chance you get for more durability and focus on Reckoning(E) > Vicious Strikes(W) > then Undertow(Q) to finish it off. You need to take 1 point in Undertow either at lvl 2 or 3 to make sure you have the slow you need to help you get your gank on! Personally I like it at lvl 2. Early on Combos of W and E can really take a toll on Champions. Also if you find yourself in a tough lane against some good Ranged you can use Q to help counter harrass your enemies. In this case it's really important you have a teamate in the lane with you so you don't get shut down early! That's why I suggest either going to a double lane or jungling! If you decide to Jungle take a Long Sword and 5 Health Potions to start rather than Boots and 4 HPs.

Masteries and Runes

This part is really simple. Olaf needs Damage and HP. Pick the runes and Masteries that give Damage and HP. One change that works as well is Movement Speed Quints instead of Ar pen. Either will work, it just depends on your playstyle!

Olaf needs to be played aggressively early on! You need to find a teammate who can complement your playstyle. I prefer to lane with Tanks or ADC... or Jungle if you want. Top or Bottom lane doesn't matter. Olaf can flourish in either due to Reckoning! Just be relentless with your opponents and gank, gank, gank!
