Mordekaiser Build Guide by Phemeth

Nice build at all. But i've got a question: It is a solo top Build? If isnt, i dont recommend the Flat Armor seal.

First off, really nice idea for the chapters, might use it in a future guide.

As for the guide itself, well, it had quite a lot of work put into it. It's nice from an aesthetic standpoint, the explanations are, well, explanations and not "take this because I say you should", you explain the gameplay of this guy, etc. Don't really play enough Mordekaiser to say anything about the item build, but it makes sense and seems well explained.

My two problems are tons of spelling errors from about the middle of the guide onward, and lack of explanation what LANE do you play this guy in. For the first, I would recommend this, and for the second, well, I have no idea is this top or mid Mordekaiser. You are using top runes, but the text of the guide suggests this is a mid guide.

You could probably clear that up a bit, and add matchups. If ths is a top Mordekaiser, I can excuse you for not going too in-depth with them, as there are so many tanky DPS champs in the game, but not so much if you play mid with him. At any rate, this is a great guide, so you might want to check out some review shops on the build discussion section of the forums if you want upvotes.

A really nice guide in my opinion, the only thing that is not okay is that you have mentioned Randuin's Omen twice in the item list. But it surely deserves a +1 ^^

Nice guide, but I disagree with masteries and skill sequence

Masteries - If you find movement speed so important that u take quints for it, why not take 3 points from useless hp rgn to % movement speed ?

Ability order - I really qould prefer Q over W, because that doesn't leave u vulnerable at all like you say in con's, without iron man.

Mention preferably 7th item

Other than that, nice coding and overall nice guide.

The guide is very good bt i think that you should also put in the item section a Void Staff because it gives AP and MR, and his passive ability reducte the magic resisntace of the oponent who helps Mordekaiser.
But still + GJ

Too generic, no offense but this doesn't tell us anything new about Mordekaiser. Nevertheless in my opinion a tanky morde is a wasted morde. Your masteries make you lack finishing damage and give you a defense that Morde has inherently.

Very well formatted guide. Information is accurate but don't you consider that taking Rabadon's Deathcap before Lich Bane is a better choice since you will pay so much for the mana you don't need? And Rabadon's Deathcap will make you hit very hard just like Lich Bane does.

Well Thanks for you comments. I'm glad to answer you question. So I'll begin to answer.

@Monkay3000: Q... As I said lots of build max Q as second, but I think it's wrong. You are more vulnerable with a Mace of Spades which does more damage instantly, but no damage over time leaving you without a sustain for your shield. The increase of armor and magic resist is what you need in mid game 6 seconds is the duration of Creeping Death and six seconds is what you need to wait to use it again! In addiction Mace of Spades consumes more Health. I suggest you trying this skill sequence.

No Deathfire I think it's useless there are so many good items for Morde, but if you want you can get as 5th or 6th item I'll try it.

@KSS Awake: You're right Rabadon's Deathcap is really a good choise, but not the best you can do, buy that as 5th or 6th item. Lich Bane gives you 30 Magic resist, 8% Movement Speed and 350 Mana which is wasted I know, but the Speed Granted + Rylai's Crystal Scepter lets you catch 90% of champions in this part of the game, believe me you do enough damage to 1vs1 almost all non too much fed champions, althought you get Rabadon's Deathcap you should defeat 100% of champions, but you'll have no certainty to get them and few Magic Resist until you get Lich Bane. @LockCORE: Is this a defensive Morde? No. Masteries are defensive because Morde lacks of defenses Early game. Granting Health and Health regen will help this champ reaching higher level without dieing.

@cyberfacada: The Void Staff is already in the item section have a better look and thanks for vote ^^.

@Joxuu: Creeping Death gives more shield than Mace of Spades and has an AP Ratio of 120% in addiction it gives Extra Armor and Magic Resist (10/15/20/25/30)! Although the damage is over time. If you max Mace of Spades as Second Creeping Death on level 13 will have 24 seconds of cooldown and will be useless. If you level Creeping Death before Mace of Spades your Mace of Spades will be still useful: his low cooldown (8 seconds) could be used to proc Sheen (if you already have it). Now you'll level Mace of Spades when you'll really need it and you'll do heavy damage with Lich Bane. Added to FAQ

I took [Indomitable]], instand of Initiator for two main reasons, because Indomitable is nice to jungle when your lane is pushed and 2/3 points gave me a feeling of incompleteness. However I think you're right Morde has a good amount of life and with Shield it's hard to bring him below 70% of his life, so I'll fix this. Fixed

@Xenotechie & Ibcsi: I'm so stupid I forgot to give this build an address. I play it on mid, where I have no obstacles on my way, but it can be still played in top, although there are several top champions hard to shutdown like Riven or Lee Sin. Playing mid is easier because you can steal Wraths from jungle and fastly level up so I think that would be better. On 3 vs 3 I recommend to play solo top because you need to hit minions with skill and farming hard lane will certainty steal minions. Fixed

@Ibcsi: If you need to play top you can use other Seals, but if you needn't in most of cases you'll need flat Armor seals.
