Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Introduction to Winning!
To start off, I have purely played Evelynn for a month straight. She seems to be the only character I have enjoyed. I have tryed many classes so I understand what abilities they have etc.
Evelynn is very underestimated to most people. Many players understand what Evelynn can do, but alot of the players that choose to play her just flat out suck. I've seen alot of people that try to stack ATK SPD and atk damage and thats just sad. Evelynn is a caster. Anyone that doesn't think so should try this build and really see how much better Eve can be.
I chose marks of insight because why wouldn't you? All of your spells are magic and magic pen is a no brainer. For all the others at level 18 you have a bonus of around 50-60 AP. Thats all gravy baby.
Now on to masteries.
The mastery choices I picked are purely my preference. I get the ignite point because I use ignite often and the 10ap helps alot. And stacking offensive points are good because you want to do the most burst damage in the 1.5 second stun you are given.
I put one point into good hands because there isn't much else since I usually don't use ghost or teleport. But the points can be switched around depending on what spells your team needs. Alot of people don't get arch knowledge but its magic pen and magic pen is good when your completely melee/magic.
I always build boots first. Speed on eve is vital. After you purchase sorc boots get sheen. Don't finish lich bane. That is everyones first mistake. Build deathcap after sheen. And heres why: If you build deathcap after sheen you can maximize your damage as early as possible. Think about it: lichbane's main perk is what sheen already does. So if you just get sheen early, then get deathcap, you get more damage more early.
After eve gets deathcap and LB she is very viable. Those two items alone help her immensely. After you obtain those two, its basically comes down to what your fighting. If its heavy melee in 3's I get thornmail. If its heavy melee in 5's I get warmogs. I get banshees veil if it is heavy caster in 5s or 3s. The reason why I tend to get warmogs often is because eve is a target. After she gets out of stealth she is more squishy than a turd and everyone knows if you stun her she dies.
If you can get warmogs then definatly pick up Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Whats wrong with extra health and AP?
Always start out with hate spike. If your going for early ganks I get stealth, obviously. But your main priority is to MAX HATE SPIKE as quickly as possible. At level 9 you should have hate spike rank 5. Alot of eve's train stealth early so they can have a 20 second or 30 second stealth. But you need to get that out of your head and LEARN to use your 10 second stealth correctly! Wait in the grass and then stealth out quickly to the fight.
Sometimes having a 10 second stealth can gimp you. Theres been times where we didn't get a kill because I could not stay in stealth long enough. But yet agian that is my mistake. You must use your 10 second stealth wisely and this is very important because maxing hate spike and ravage as soon as possible maximize your damage. Would you rather run in quickly and two shot someone at level 10 or be able to run around the target and then get them to half life then they ********* you cause your squishy. Come on.
Summoner spells vary, I use ignite and flash. I will always have flash, it saves lives and gets kills. And ignite is very helpful for eve because there are many times ( For any class really ) When that stupid little veigar is going to get away with 50hp and theres nothing you can do about it but wish you picked ignite. Its all personal preference though.
What it comes down to
To wrap it all up, this is my first build. But I have been using it for a month straight and this is the only character I play. And im always positive. :) Good luck playing with evelynn, and if oracles are giving you problems all it takes is practice on how to avoid them. Thanks for reading!
