Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey there Summoners! This is TenteiKarite, your friendly neighborhood lycanthrope, bringing you one of my personal favorite builds for my absolute favorite champion, Warwick.
Warwick is a better champ than a lot of people give him credit for, with his impressive sustain and chasing abilities.
This build focuses on a combination of defensive stats, Lifesteal, Attack Speed and Attack Damage, to keep Warwick alive to the late game, and cause all sorts of mayhem and chaos when he does :D
Runes are pretty basic. Attack Speed Marks and (Quintessence) allow us to proc On-Hit effects (such as our passive) more often.
Armor Seals and MR Glyphs reduce the damage we take early game, so we can stay in lane longer and make it to late game.
Move Speed Quintessences are to help chase down targets.
Since this is primarily an Autoattack build, Focus on Attack Damage and Armor Pen masteries, with Executioner because that's what Warwick LOVES to do; Chase people down and murder them.
In the Defense Tree; Armor, MR and HP/level are for, again, getting us to the mid-to-late game.
This build gives you AtkSpeed, Damage, Lifesteal, Armor, Magic Resist, a chunk of HP and some fun passives. I'll explain the more odd choices, starting with:
Philosopher's Stone: Early Game Warwick has a lot of issues with Mana, and even in Late Game, not being able to Q for a Clutch Heal, or push a wave with your W can cost you the game. Philo Stone also makes it easier to build some of the less-than-cheap items (like Madred's Bloodrazor) that Warwick loves to have.
Wriggle's Lantern: Armor, AtkDamage, Lifesteal, Easier Creep Farm and a free ward every 3mins? Yes. Please.
Spirit Visage is an all-around boon for Warwick and no build should really be without it. It's got MR which is always a bonus, as well as CDR and a boost to ALL of Warwick's Self-Heals (Philo Stone's Regen, Warwick's Passive, Lifesteal, etc).
Zeke's Herald. Health and CDR, plus AtkSpeed and Lifesteal (as an AURA). Helps you be a team player while also being the monster you want to be.
Shurelya's Reverie: Same as Philo Stone, cept Moreso. Plus CDR and a teamwide Speed Boost. Awesome for closing gaps on important teamfights, or making use of every second you have, after an Ace.
Rush Hungering Strike first, because it's your heal and biggest source of damage early game. Take 1 in Hunter's Call and 1 in Blood Scent early, so you can push waves or chase down weak champs. Max Blood Scent second, because its range and speed buff increase to ridiculous levels. Hunter's Call should be maxed after Infinite Duress.
Alternately, you can max Hunter's Call second, if you're not worried about chasing champions.
Ignite and Flash are pretty much standard for Summoner Spells, tho you could put Teleport to good use, especially if you're remembering to use Wriggle's Lantern's active ability. Exhaust and Ghost are sort of irrelevant, since you can already boost your speed to stupid levels with Blood Scent and Boots2.
