Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello, I plays Shyvana, so I knows mostly everything there is to her. She is an AD bruiser, but more on damages than tank. She is more reliable in the jungle or solo top, for now we'll focus on Jungle part of her.
She is a strong invader.
One of the best DOT
Tiamat Q during Ultimate
Good Gap closing skill.
Anti Intitation skill
Little to no CCs
Easily countered by good cooperation from enemy team
Can be kited.
Ultimate cannot fully pull anything she touch
So far, Pros outweigh Cons, but it seems that she is easy to counter.
I typically go 24/6/0 on Shyvana, with points in first AP and havoc so I could do some decent damages benefits from her shred and ap scaling.
You could go 21/9/0 if you would likes with points in magic resists for spell casters trouble.
I go Armor pene red, armor yellow, aspeed blue and ad quints
Mainly because I could take out jungles pretty quickly.
If you would prefers, you can go AD red, armor yellow, Aspeed blue, AD quint for better early ganks. Or armor pene red, armor yellow, aspeed blue, and armor pene quints for stronger late.
Starts either Vampriric Specter or Boots of Speed and three pots. Then I buy Madred's razor and some ward/pots. Then Mercs tread and Wriggles, buy either Recurve Bow or Brutalizer, and finish either Ghostblade or Stark's Fervor, get phage after. Buy Bilgewater cutlass or if you have enough get Frozen Mallet. Then get the third item you didn't get (brutalizer or recurve bow whichever you didn't get earlier) and get BF sword later. Replace Wriggle with Bloodthrister, then process to build Hextech Gunblade for AD/AP.
Creeping / Jungling
Starts wolves, then invade opposite side wraiths and double golems. Unless you knows they're starting wraiths or double golems, take your blue instead after wolves with a good pull, and go gank afterward unless you are not that confident, continue jungling instead. Gank if enemy lane are overextending/or if you have a good cooperation works from your laners (good stun or similar) Take dragon as early as possible with bottom/mid's help. You'll take it down pretty quickly.
Best way to play Shyvana is to be on moving, so your team will needs to be very cooperating and listen to what you should have to says. Sneak behind their enemy carry and take him/her out with your ultimate in which your team will then jump in. You'll survive if your team is good enough to do this. Otherwise just wait for enemy team to initate in which you'll counteract with your ultimate and target their carry.
Overall, Shyvana is a powerful jungler, and shouldn't be underestimated. If you can master her, you can control the whole jungle. Invading is her best point, so continue invading and keeps enemy jungler low on farms, forcing him to lane and leech experiences from solo top/mid and bottom. She's one of the strongest champions if not second best champion next to Riven.
