About me!

This is my first guide so dont be really rough on me. I am a 17 year old teenager from Lithuania(EUNE) who OTP's Shaco. I don't play Sivir as often because I don't like the state of the meta right now, but I still play Sivir on some occasions. I play other roles also, my main ones being jungle and top lane. Pros / Cons

Pros
+ A really fun champ to play
+ A lot of AOE DMG in teamfights
+ Can turn around teamfights with ult
+ Has a Spell Shield
+ Not really hard to play

Cons
- Gets bullied by higher range ADC's
- Missing your Boomerang Blade will hurt you a lot
- Doesn't have a dash or a blink like a lot of ADC's
- She relies a lot on positioning

Runes

I think these are currently the best runes for Sivir currently


Precision

Keystone - Fleet Footwork is in my opinion the best choice for Sivir, since she has no dashes in her kit the extra movement speed is very appreciated, because it helps you kite better, it also helps you sustain better in lane, fights etc.

Slot 1 - Triumph helps you sustain even more in in fights, Overheal and Presence of Mind don't provide enough for me.

Slot 2 - As an ADC you value attack speed a lot, that's why you get Legend: Alacrity. Sivir doesn't benefit enough from Legend: Tenacity or Legend: Bloodline.

Slot 3 - Coup de Grace is the only mastery that you benefit from in this slot.

Sorcery

Slot 1 - Celerity is the best choice, because you gain from movement speed Fleet Footwork your passive, ultimate. The extra movement speed transfers into damage.

Slot 2 - Now in this slot, you honestly have 2 viable choices. If you have a very aggressive support by your side or if you see in the game lobby that you have a favorable matchup, you should pick Scorch for more bullying power. Pick Gathering Storm If you think that you don't have much pressure on the enemy bot lane or if you think the game will last a long time.

Unique Skills

Fleet of Foot




Sivir gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds when she damages an enemy champion with an ability or basic attack.


A really nice passive for keeping up with enemies and/or chasing them.




Boomerang Blade RANGE: 1250; SPEED: 1350; COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 MANA; COOLDOWN: 9




ACTIVE: Sivir hurls her crossblade in the target direction, which then returns to her. Units in its path take physical damage, with 15% reduced damage to each subsequent target, down to a minimum of 40%.



PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 25 / 45 / 65 / 85 / 105 (+ 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110% AD) (+ 50% AP)


「 MAXIMUM PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 46.25 / 83.25 / 120.25 / 159.1 / 194.25 (+ 129.5 / 148 / 166.5 / 185 / 203.5% AD) (+ 92.5% AP) 」



Each unit can be damaged only once per pass.


Your main damaging spell. You have to use it everywhere. Really good damage when fed and also good for poking and finishing off enemies.




Ricochet COST: 60 MANA; COOLDOWN: 12/10.5/9/7.5/6




ACTIVE: For 4 seconds Sivir's next 3 basic attacks bounce to nearby unaffected units, dealing them physical damage, until none remain in range.



「 BOUNCE DAMAGE: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70% AD 」



If Sivir critically strikes her target, the bounces do so as well.



Ricochet resets Sivir's autoattack timer.


This acts as an attack speed steroid, it also is an auto attack reset ability. Use it always in teamfights. This ability has been buffed and now critically strikes if the first AA crit's! YAY!




Spell Shield COOLDOWN: 22 / 19 / 16 / 13 / 10




ACTIVE: Sivir blocks the next enemy ability used on her within the next 1.5 seconds, restoring mana upon a successful block.



MANA RESTORED: 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 mana


That's what stands out about Sivir. This skill separates a good Sivir player and an average Sivir player. She can dodge any displacement ability, roots, projectile and some other types of spells. I won't be going into them because he list is huge. You can check out what you can dodge by clicking here but do note that some ability dodges might be outdated.





On The Hunt EFFECT RADIUS: 1000; COST: 100 MANA; COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80




PASSIVE: Sivir gains bonus attack speed while Ricochet is active.


BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 30 / 45 / 60%



ACTIVE: Sivir rallies all nearby allies for 8 seconds, granting them and herself bonus movement speed that decays to 20% after a few seconds.


INITIAL MOVEMENT SPEED: 40 / 50 / 60%


INITIAL MOVEMENT SPEED DURATION: 2 / 3 / 4


So, this is her special ability that can turn around teamfights and games. It give you and your allies a speedboost and it helps chase down enemies or just catch them off guard, you can also run away with it. Abuse this ability even if you need to chase down only 1 person, but when it gets on cooldown, you need to be cautious because you don't have any other escape ability.



This is her kit. She doesn't have that much damage but she has a lot of utility. She has one of the best kits for solo queue!

You choose Ricochet at level 1 because you want to get that level 2 before the enemy bot laners. You get Boomerang Blade at level 2 because you want to have more damage than them. At level 3 you get your Spell Shield. Try to poke them as much as possible with your Boomerang Blade, because you can just restore the lost mana with your Spell Shield.





Leveling order goes like this:

On The Hunt> Boomerang Blade> Ricochet> Spell Shield

Spells

Heal and Flash are the basic summoners for an ADC. Take Barrier if the support was not friendly in champ select and you want to be selfish:D(But I don't recommend it).

Items

Lets begin!



Starting items





Doran's Blade, Health Potion, Stealth Ward. I think this is still the best start, atleast for me. Cull might be viable but I personally don't really like it because it's risky. Doran's Blade gives you more combat stats early, that's why I thinks it's really good.

Core items





Get the Farsight Alteration as soon as you hit level 9. It's just a great ward overall and can save you in some situations.





You get Infinity Edge as a first item and you get Boots in the middle of the purchase of Infinity Edge. The reason why you want IE as a first item is that you're not an attack speed ADC. You want crit's and AD. Plus it also adds a really good enchancement on your crits.





You want to get Berserker's Greaves because you start to lack some AS and you need that sweet movement speed as Sivir. Nothing to say more, get them always after Infinity Edge.





Statikk Shiv works really well on her, more than Phantom Dancer does. You get that sweet sweet movement speed and attack speed. The item also has a unique passive which critically strikes, so it add's a lot of burst and damage that Sivir lacks a bit. In season 5 would be getting Phantom Dancer if you got fed and Statikk Shiv if you were falling behind. Now, Statikk Shiv is just a core item on Sivir that you can't skip out.





Then you want to start building Bloodthirster because most of the time you end laning phase when you get Statikk Shiv and in teamfight's you start lacking sustain. You get a nice shield from Bloodthirster and quite a bit of AD. The reason that you get Bloodthirster instead of Blade of the Ruined King is that you dont need the extra attack speed, because you get it from your Ricochet. And with the preseason changes to Sivir, her Ricochet attack speed steroid after level 6 can now stay a bit longer in late game. So you just spam it in late game.

After Bloodthirster you usually want to get Last Whisper. You can get it earlier if they start stacking armor against you. Now the upgrade depends if they start stacking health or no. If they have quite some tanks and even their main damagers are tanky like Malzahar and Kassadin you want to be getting Lord Dominik's Regards, if they dont stack HP that much, you can just get Mortal Reminder.


Defensive items





Ninja Tabi is a really good item to pick up if they have a heavy AD team composition or if they have autoattackers as their main damage source. These boots help you negate a lot of damage during skirmishes and fights. Some of the strongest and popular ADC picks are Varus and Kog'Maw currently as of patch 8.5, I'm also seeing quite a bit of autoattack reliant junglers picked, that is why I see Ninja Tabi as a viable boot upgrade.





Guardian Angel seems like good choice at the moment. Seeing the state of the meta, it gives what you need. After the few changes it became very cost efficient and also gives you a nice unique passive that revives you at 50% of base health and 30% of maximum mana after death. I would get this early if I get really fed and I want to slay teams or if I am getting always focused and assassinated.





Randuin's Omen is another great defensive item, altough I only pick it agains heavy AD compositions(all champions are AD). It also helps you duel enemy autoattackers because Randuin's Omen slows their attack speed by 15% for 1 second and it also has a nice unique active which slows them and helps you slow them.





As of patch 6.9 Mercurial Scimitar no longer removes Zed ult, because it only removes crowd control and doesn't remove debuffs. So try to ban zed if you can. But it is still very good, because we're seeing a lot of cc comps in this meta. With the preseason patch it not only gives you AD and MR but lifesteal also, so combined with the bloodthirster you get 30% lifesteal, that's pretty huge.



So that's pretty much it for items, I hope it's a bit more clear now that I have explained it.

Laning phase

Laning phase combines these 2 key things: farming and early game. I'm gonna talk how you should farm and what you should do in it. Lets begin!



Farming


This should be your #1 priority in the laning phase. Dont auto attack the creeps last hit them. By last hitting I mean you should attack the minion when it's low and you know you will take it with 1 auto attack. By perfect circumstances you should have 80+ creep score by 10 minutes, but dont feel bad or lose confidence if you have like let's say 50 CS at 10 minutes, look at your teammates and check their creep score, if you have the most CS in the team, you're doing just fine! Always try to be in the top of your team by CS. CS'ing is mistake I do and I want to say to every ADC main out there: LAST HIT, NOT AUTO ATTACK.



Early game


In the early game you should mainly focus farming but if you have an advantage over them also harass the enemy bot lane. If they are scared of you in bottom try denying their farm. Your main goal is to stay alive and go back to base at +1300g because you want to get a B. F. Sword. In early game you have to cooperate with your support a lot but in solo queue that's not really possible, but you can try. If you see your support( Leona, Alistar, Thresh), mainly the aggro supports) going in ham on the enemies dont leave him and try to rek them. But if you're low on hp or mana try to ping him to retreat. Because you dont really know what your solo queue support is up to, you have to mainly make your own plays. It depends if you're playing with a friend and you are both talking on Skype etc.

Mid - Late game and teamfights

Most of the time you end laning phase at the start of mid game(somewhere around level 8 to 14) and you start roaming to other lanes(most of the time to mid). Teamfights start happening etc.
I'm gonna talk about what should be your objectives at this time of the game!

Teamfights


You should always stay in the backline, because you're an ADC the main source of physical damage, and you're not the one who sacrifices yourself to the enemy team. No matter what, try to live in teamfights and push out as much damage as possible. Let the tanks initiate and then proceed to do your job which is of course killing/lowering their HP bars.



Mid game


So at this time of the game teamfights and bigger skirmishes start happening. You should always stay with your support and if he leaves you to roam you should not walk alone. Don't do stupid skirmishes and DO NOT GO IN 1v2 EVEN IF YOU'RE FED. Your main objectives at this time should be towers, dragon and maybe even baron (if you're all fed and want to finish the game). You don't want to take baron and dragon at random times, for example it's not a good idea to go for these objectives if they're alive, try to do it when they're all dead or most of them are. But IF YOU THINK YOU CAN SNEAK A FAST BARON OR DRAGON AND YOU'RE NOT RISKING LOSING TOWERS OR INHIBITOR, DO IT, JUST DO IT. Some games just end here if you have quite a lead and you're still pulling the lead. But don't give up, I had enough of these stupid games where the winning team starts throwing the lead(That's why instead of solo queue I call it yolo queue. Basically if your team has the lead don't do crazy things at any cost. And if you're on the losing side just try to group and stay together, take objectives and WAIT TILL THEY MAKE MISTAKES, TAKE THEM OUT 1 BY 1 IF THEY JUST JUMP ONTO YOUR TEAM, FOCUS THE MOST FED IF YOU CAN. Whenever you ace them try to get towers and if you can't, do a quick dragon or a baron .



Late game


This is the part where Sivir shines. Your crits destroy teams with little effort and everyone kneels in front of you. Jokes aside, this is the really serious part of the game where if you want to win you have to tryhard like Faker. Treat every death as a loss, because death timers go up to 70 seconds. Try grouping with your team because you will be picked of easily if you go alone anywhere on the map. Always fight as a team, don't be that stereotypical Vayne main who goes in 1v5 and then blames the team, please don't. Your main objectives are Baron , Dragon , towers and inhibitors. You might think in your head "But Senpai Dikas, how do I get them safely?", you try sneaking it or either getting them aced and then doing it. If you have a lead in the game just ult to them with your team, pop your W, Q and if they throw important cc to you press your E and rush them down to the gray screen. If you do it correctly you will most likely win the game. If you're behind and you're playing Sivir then it's going to be way harder to do that, sometimes even impossible. As I said, just group with your team, try picking off those who walk alone or make some kind of mistake and thats how you will be regaining your lead.
