Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hi I'm Bntyhunter7. This is my first Mobafire guide ever so if you have any tips on how I could improve my guide, I'd appreciate it. (Seriously, please help...no idea what I'm doing when it comes to making a Mobafire guide.)
I main jungle and support so I wanted to try and combine the two and at the same time wanted the challenge of making Janna jungle work. I'm not saying that this is a 100% viable thing to do, but I have gotten a great amount of success with it in the games I've played.
As a support and a jungle your job is to assist teammates by ganking lanes, warding the map and helping push towers.
Pros / Cons
Lots of CC
High Movement Speed
Can Shield Towers
Great Lane Pusher
Needs a good Team Comp
Counter Jungled Easily without Team's Help
Masteries I went 0/21/9.
Mostly Defensive masteries because Janna is naturally squishy and needs the bonus resistances and health from them. The one point in Summoner's Resolve for the +10 gold upon using Smite works well with the 3 points in Mastermind because of the lowered cooldown. This is also good for clearing the jungle faster.
The Utility points are for more movement speed and mana regeneration to help with Janna's mana use as well as a point in Runic Affinity for a longer buff duration.
I went with Attack Speed Marks to maximize the amount of basic attacks Janna can get in with her shield and bonus AD up.
Then flat Armor Seals for more armor in the jungle.
Finally AP per level Glyphs to increase the amount of damage Janna can shield in the jungle. This allows her to take a point in Zephyr at level 3 instead of needing a second point in Eye of the Storm for clears.
The Movement Quints are great with Janna's already incredible movement speed allowing her to have amazing presence in lanes with Boots of Mobility.
Smite - Every jungler should take it. This spell is a no brainer.
Flash - Janna has no escape without this so I take this for that reason.
I start with Eye of the Storm because the shield and it's bonus AD are how Janna can clear the jungle. This spell is maxed first NO MATTER WHAT.
Second I take Howling Gale for the CC and the AOE clearing potential.
Third I take Zephyr for the bonus movement speed and the slow for ganks. (This allows for great level 3 ganking)
Depending on how the game is going I either max Zephyr first or Howling Gale.
Zephyr if I'm getting good ganks off. Howling Gale if I need more farm in the jungle.
I usually start smiteless blue if possible then go right to red. After that I clear wraiths then either gank or go to wolves. When smite is back up I clear golems and look to gank again, and if not then I make my first back.
It is important to gank whenever possible. If you see somebody over extended go gank even if it's warded. Chances are you can get a kill anyways or get them to blow their summoner spells.
I like to make sure the entrances to my jungle are warded and if I'm ahead of the other jungle I ward their buffs instead.
This guide is far from finished and I can obviously use help accomplishing that.
For the most part Jungle Janna requires either a tanky top/mid lane or a tanky support (Ex. Leona, Taric, Nunu, etc) She has great CC and ganks and is a fantastic lane pusher.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer me with this guide and thanks for reading it.
