Introduction

This is my first guide and I am open to suggestions and criticism. First of all I saw that there was no Dominion guide for brand my favorite bottom lane blaster and now here is my guide. Brand has very high damage especially to any number of minions where it be the opening 3 or a lane push of 15 as well as great control over most any champion AD or AP.

Dominion Vs. Classic

This is my guide for a Brand bottom lane Dominion game, bottom lane is the equivalent to middle lane in classic League a straight 1v1 minion waves pushing against towers. Differences are in Dominion you start off at level 3 and with a significant amount of gold, also the minion was is cut down to one melee and two caster minions (I always focus casters before melee faster money and kills). Also the towers must be captured or set to neutral you must understand how much minions can push against a tower and in capping it all by themselves (ignore the champ hiding in his tower and push minions OP). 3 towers is the key to points being lost on your opponents team, with brand I push bottom lane and strive to capture both towers always and usually can hold, my #1 rule is do not ever lose your tower closest to the fountain don't die needlessly just keep that fountain up, bottom lane is your only game ignore top, that's your team mates game.

Abilities

Passive= Blaze

Blaze is one of my favorite champion passives ever. Every time Brand lands one of his abilities ( Sear, Pillar of Flame, Conflagration, or Pyroclasm) the afflicted champion will be set ablaze, dealing 8% of their Maximum Health in Magic Damage over the next four seconds. In other words you have a personal ignite after ever spell. In addition Blaze activates a second effect on every ability after the initial spell which puts Blaze on the target

Q: Sear

Sear is your most useful ability on Brand not because it does a large amount of damage because it doesn't but if your target is ablaze by your passive Blaze your Sear will then stun the target. This ability is shot in a straight line and can be hard to hit with at first, the difference between Brand and most champions is that the closer the enemy is to you the easier it is to hit with all of your attacks including a stunning Sear. Against an Ad fast carry charging at you simply walk away cast Conflagration and stun then with a skill shot straight behind you the way they are chasing after you stun land an easy Pillar of Flames with increased damage.

W:Pillar of Flame

Pillar of Flame is one of your most devastating damaging attacks and can hit a large amount of enemy's or great for pushing minions. This ability stacks amazing with ability power scaling in raw damage easily the best choice to max to level 5 as your first ability. In addition if the target is ablaze you deal an additional 25% damage. This ability is your best lane pusher cast Pillar of Flame then Conflagration to clear an entire minion wave, at level 3 the start of a Dominion game a level two Pillar and level 1 conflagration will drop the caste minions to a melee's hit from death.

E: Conflagration

Conflagration is the spell that becomes most versatile on brand deciding whether to initiate with it, farm minions, or spread Blaze to your targets. Initial damage on Conflagration is decent and sets the target ablaze if your target is already afflicted by your passive the damage of Conflagration is spread in an area around the target dealing slighlt lesser damage and setting targets ablaze with your passive. Ways to use this include jumping your Conflagration damage and passive from an afflicted minion to a champion attempting to harass you and then into a possible stun skill shot with Sear.

Ultimate: Pyroclasm

Unleashes a wad of Magma that deals high amounts of damage and bounces up to a total of 5 times. This attack devastates squishies but for it to work optimally it needs to bounce of more than one target; in bottom lane especially this can be confusing but enemy minions also count as targets and your focus can be hit up to 2 or 3 times dealing massive damage and afflicting them with your passive Blaze. If your target is Ablaze Pyroclasm speeds up in its jumps from target to target.

Runes

Runes are personal and totally up to the Summoner in my opinion however these are the ones i recommend.
Greater Mark of Insight

spell pen runes are a must for any caster allowing more damage to go through against all opponents.

Greater Glyph of Force

Ability power allows for your early came to hit even harder and is never a bad thing.

Greater Seal of Vitality
Greater Seal of Vitality
This is the most interchangeable of your runes however i find that the extra health gives me the edge over my other lanner and a slight overall advantage.

Greater Quintessence of Potency

Ability power is all around what you need and makes you stronger early game.

Items

Starting items
  • : Health, ability power, and mana regen possibly the greatest starting item in all of Dominion especially solo with mana regen giving sustainability.
  • : Speed is sustainability against casters and AD carrys.
  • : lets you stay in the lane longer as well as live longer against an enemy.
    Mid/ Late Game Items
    • : The core of my build this item is Ability Power, Health, and its most important feature all of your spells now slow; this feature alone allows my brand to walk away from almost any champion and to harass like a the true fire king he is.
    • : Magic Penetration is necessary for any caster it gives you extra damage to all enemy champ tank or squishy works most efficiently with your Magic Pen Runes.
    • : 140 ability power and plus 30% ability power puts this at the top of your AP carry list. After this item your damage especially with your Pillar of Flame is drastically increased, allowing for easy lane pushing and overall champion killing.
    • : I sell my [Prospector's Ring at 800 gold and buy the [[Fiendish Codex]] then upgrade it into the [[Morello's Evil Tome]] for my finishing mana regen +75 Ability Power and a passive of 20% Cool down Reduction. This is usually the final item i build before the game is over and i find the cool down reduction ability power and improved regen is the best finisher to end the game.

Summoner Spell's

Ghost

I find ghost to allow my champion greater offensive and defensive capabilities especially in Dominion games. I can hunt own a target faster than they can escape or i can evade several champions with my increased speed and stay alive defending my turret.

Ignite

Ignite on top of your passive [Blaze] allows Brand to finish off any champion before they can run away at low health. In addition can be beast for its counter healing abilities against any champion.

Optional Spells
Flash

Flash is good and very versatile however I find that flash allows me to escape less situations when attacked by multiple champions on bottom lane.

Brand's Spell Combos and Lane Strategy

First of all my play style Bottom lane focus's on minion control over focusing on killing the enemy champion. With a Pillar of Flame followed by a Conflagration usually can kill any wave on minions allowing my waves to push the enemy tower. Minions by themselves can cap a tower to neutral allowing me to push and gank or dominate the towers. [Conflagration] can also while killing minion waves jump your passive to an enemy champ and allow for your combo to start. If an enemy pushes your lane while you are dead or buying in the fountain enemy's can push large lanes of minions to your tower Brand can kill any number of minions and farm easy money off all of them with just a Pillar of Flame Conflagration rotation.

Brand Ability Combination's and Situations
1v1 brand is a beast and a full rotation of abilties can be devestating to an enemy's health. I start with a direct attack of Conflagration setting the target ablaze with your passive, followed by a skill shot stun with your Sear. Then you can place an easy Pillar of Flame around your stunned target dealing an extra 25% damage because of Blaze and finish with your ult if more damage is needed melee's on top of your passive should give you an easy kill.

2v1 Brand can handle multiple champions by backing away twards your fountain and hopefully bringing the two enemy champions close together. At times like these your Ultimate can be devastating hitting those two lone targets 3 times each, with your slow from the Rylai's Crystal Scepter you can place an easy stun with Sear damage with Pillar of Flame and a versatile Conflagration. The slow is the key to my survival and allows me to drop my full Combo rotation and walk away as my enemy regrets getting too close to my fire.

In adition your ult is devastating in team fights as is your Pillar of Flame but stay in the back as you will be focused and dropped quickly if the enemy's get the chance.

Important
Brand lives and dies off of his combo missing even one of his abilities can lead to a quick death but land them all and you can take on any champion. Also never be afraid to hide in the shadows below your turrets and cast my favorite combo of a Pillar of Flame followed by an immediate Sear for an instant stun and free tower shot on your opponent.

I start without my stun for two reasons, First i can drop the opening minion wave to a melee hit from death with my level 2 Pillar of Flames and my level 1 Conflagration. Secondly after the first minions die i hit level 4 and proceed to get my stun before any AD has the chance to truly harass me. At level 4 with your stun your combo should be able to hold against most any champion but be careful against stuns or silences.

Conclusion

I find Brand one of the strongest Dominion Bottom lane champions with his expert creep control and amazing champion control with a good combo and slows from the scepter. His ult is very strong and for the most part I can take on any champion by being the harass king Brand thank you for readying please comment and give me advice.
