Hi this is a guide for how to build a competitive Brand.
Brand is a range nuker spesialized on aoe dmg and creating spell combination with himself.This character is made for mid lane,he has great lane controll,he is pusher and nuker on lvl 3 you can easily get your oponent on half hp with no items.Brand is got incredible damage with no items on start.I will explain skills, rotations later at the next chapters

This is my first build and i desided to post this build because Brand is awsome character and i want to share my experience on him with you.sorry for any language mistakes if you have and farther questions you can send me a message


Blaze (Passive): Brand's spells light his targets ablaze, dealing 2% of their maximum Health in magic damage per second for 4 seconds.
Sear: Brand launches a ball of fire forward that deals magic damage. If the target is ablaze, the target will be stunned for 2 seconds.
Pillar of Flame: After a short delay, Brand creates a pillar of flame at a target area, dealing magic damage to enemy units with the area. Units that are ablaze take an additional 25% damage.
Conflagration: Brand conjures a powerful blast at his target, dealing magic damage to them. If the target is ablaze, the conflagration spreads to nearby enemies.
Pyroclasm (Ultimate): Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire, dealing damage each time it bounces. If a target is ablaze, Pyroclasm's missile speed increases.

About runes i think that these choises are proper for Brand
I take magic penetration marks Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x9
mana regenaration per lvl seals Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration x9
penetration glyphs Greater Glyph of Magic Penetration x3
ability power per lvl glyphs Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power x6
and flat ability power quintessence Greater Quintessence of Ability Power x3
this setup allows me to reach 30 magic penetration witch brings the most champions to zero magic resist

For start you can buy a Sapphire Crystal and two Health Potion.As soon as possible buy Catalyst The Protector and Sorcerer's Shoes.Then i prefare Void Staff for magic penetration and Rylai's Crystal Scepter because it stucks with Brand's passive. Rabadon's Deathcap high amount of ability power and Zhonya's Hourglass witch is a must because Brand has small cooldowns so he can combo once and use Zhonya's Hourglass,until it fades off Brand has he's cooldowns available again in a fight.I believe this items is the love of the mages

Always cast Brand's spells in combination for maximum effectiveness. The passive, Ablaze, gives each spell a bonus.
First of all i maximize Conflagration,its the main offensive damage and also is combo with Pillar of Flame.When you cast Pillar of Flame at a target location you set the targets to Blaze,cast Conflagration right after and the Conflagration will spread to all targets and you have a nice aoe with high amount of damage.
I use Sear also on lvl 3 just one point because if target is on Blaze Sear can stun the target for 2 second and its really helpfull
Pyroclasm is Brand's ultimate.Prefare to use when you have mutliple targets together on a fight. On lvl 1 Pyroclasm can do 900 damage and its incredible especialy if two enemy characters are close enough.Then you can cast Pillar of Flame and Conflagration for max aoe damage and then sear for a stun if necessary

Some Tips

You can deter enemies from standing near their minions by setting them ablaze, due to Conflagration.
You can use Brand's abilities in a variety of combinations to maximize his damage in different situations.
Pyroclasm bounces randomly between enemies, so try to cast it on a small group of enemies if you want to hit the same target multiple times.


Single Target Damage:

When fighting a single target, for Maximum Damage, you actually want to use your ultimate first, then Conflagrate, Pillar of Flame and Sear (Make sure to hit the Sear Stun right after you cast Pillar of Flame but before it hits so that Sear procs the stun and another Ablaze which then procs the bonus damage for Pillar of Flame). By casting your spells in this order, it's impossible for them to dodge Pillar of Flame and you ensure each spell gets bonus damage and Conflagrate spreads to nearby enemies.


Multiple Target Damage:


When fighting multiple targets that are grouped up, cast Sear first, then Conflagrate to spread it to all nearby champions, following by Pyroclasm and Pillar of Flame. Spreading Conflagrate on top of Pillar of Flame and Pyroclasm deals massive, massive aoe damage and will likely win a team fight hands down if you hit 3 or more champions with it.

About summoner spells i prefare to use Ghost so you can use it for join a fight quick land down your combo and get away safe if you have problems or other case you can hunt down an oponent.
Also Ignite is good for healing reduce withc its usefull and stuck up a nice DOT damage of time to your oponent

Pros:

Has longe range on skills so he can hit his enemys from distance and sometimes withoun even get hit by oposite ability
Insance burst damage and aoe
Good Farmer neutrals and lane creeps
Lane controll/pusher
He also have low cooldowns so abilities can be spammed also better if you have blue buff

Cons

Needs to land all skills in combo
He is expensive 975 RP or 6300 IP
