Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is Ryuk7823 and as you can more than likely tell this will be my first guide on mobafire. I will say now that this is personal preference. This guide will be over the Champion Shen if you cant tell from the title. This guide is still a work in progress and i haven't worked out all the kinks in this build.
Pros / Cons
- high burst damage
- great lane sustain
- somewhat tanky
- global ultimate
- massive shield
- people wont know how to deal with u
- not likely to get focused
- item reliant
- not as easy as tank shen
- slightly squishy
- need to know when to time ult
- will get yelled at if u do bad
This way of playing shen he has trouble with high burst and mobility champions.
Fizz he is really annoying to play against with his Playful / Trickster he can dodge your q and your taunt. My advice for this match up is try to bait out his E or wait for him to dive u then taunt him under the turret. This lane wont be that hard of a match up once u get some practice.
Brand his stun and dot plus the huge burst damage with his full combo will cause u alot of trouble early game my advice is to stack mr and just hope for the best.
other viable summoners
Teleport Barrier and Flash
the core items give shen amazing burst and still allow him to keep some of his tankiness (probably not a word and if it is that isn't how to spell it)
Sunfire Cape i use this item because it gives u a good amount of health and decent armor the AOE is really nice to.
Lich Bane it works great to with your passive and allows for great damage.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter gives u health ap and a good form off cc. Why not buy it?
Rabadon's Deathcap gives alot of ap and the passive really helps u scale.
the situational items are well situational.
Abyssal Scepter it gives good ap and mr which work really well in mid lane, but the real reason i buy it is for the passive. i would get this most games especially if they start to stack mr.
Zhonya's Hourglass this item gives armor witch is needed to deal with most top lanes and ad carries. it also gives a lot of ap but the reason it works so well on shen is the active because it will give you time to wait on cd or energy regen.
Liandry's Torment it gives you health ap and a good DOT passive. Its just a good item overall
Nashor's Toothit gives cdr attack speed and ap. it works great for your passive since every auto attack reduces its cd. More passive procs = win right.
Warmog's Armor health there isn't much to explain here
Guardian Angel gives mr, armor, and a life saving passive buy it if u feel your dieing to quick in team fights.
Wit's End helps with your passive and supplies mr.
sorry the guide is short and looks so plain i haven't got the hang of everything yet and if the guide doesn't do to bad i will comeback to it and touch it up a little. oh and take it easy on me if u don't like it its my personal preference if you don't like it oh well.
P.S ill update with more counters sooner or later
