According to my experience, I usually can take out the enemy ADC and still deal tons of dmg before going down ;) But I i think I will consider taking tanky runes... thank you :)
I'd like to point out a few errors (in my opinion):
you run AD and ArP runes when you're maxing and building, generally, items with damage in mind (primarily) and survivability as a second during the laning phase. This is pretty impractical and unnecessary seeing as you're going to be poking with . If you're thinking to go down the AD path you might as well max : it deals physical dmg at a base dmg of almost equal and is in ratio with AD; hence deals the same damage (not true dmg, but in dmg ignoring resistances it's the same) - you can spam it on top of that.
Hence, you'd be able to build something like and stomp with a ton of lifesteal from as well as throw axes in a continuous stream to deal up to 2.5x the dps you'd be dishing out from .
Now, another reason I don't like the fact you build damage is because it leaves you much more open to counters. It's more efficient imo to build defence- especially as a part of your runes- (generally, dmg-based Olafs get beaten down hard by champions like , , ).
Also, without building items that lend you MS like , you're SOO bloody reliant on landing , CC resistance and speed buff from . While this sounds like a solid set of things to fall back on, it really isn't. In a team fight, you'll have burned this resource (and since you're kinda squishy tbh, ~150 resistances and 3k hp) and will die before you can dish out significant damage to the AD carry- which I assume is your goal.
However, what I do love about the guide:
You compensate for lack of speed with and slow - very clever, whether or not you did it for that purpose.
You also build very economically: you invest in damage- but for every damage item there's a resistance as a side ( etc.)
It's actually a real nice guide. xP
Anyway, all I was trying to say is: you don't have the consistency I'd be looking for from an Olaf build. That's all though, tbh..
Very nice.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (although I don't believe I am, being a pretty veteran Olaf player- if not a MOBA user).
Thanks,
blue =).
Yeah you're right warmog's is a really good item, but I mostly don't find the right time to buy it, since it is way more effective if you get your minions stacked on it. I often end up thinking "well it's too late now anyway" and skip it. :D
you get the Warmog after you get frozen mallet and armatas
