Bruiser Ezreal sounds interesting, but I had to downvote this simply because you say you can initiate with his ult. Um... since when does anyone initiate a fight with pure damage? You don't see Lux ulting to initiate a team fight. You initiate fights with CC. Even though his ult has a decently low cooldown and does nice damage, if you initiate with it, you make them more defensive, not to mention you are alerting them to your position. If they have a healer, by the time you actually start the team fight, good chance most if not all that damage has been healed by the healer and health regen. Also, the carries will most likely be in the back of the enemy group, so they will take less damage while the tankier enemies who will have armor and mr will be in front. You need to save your ult in the middle of a fight or to last hit squishies that are running away. If in the middle of the fight, you have to position yourself to hit as many as possibly, ideally with the carries in front. If you use it to initiate, you waste your ult, and no way it's going to be back up during the team fight. Also, by saving your ult, you make it less likely for squishies to try to run away because they think they are dead already, so they might stay in the team fight and try to just do as much damage as they can while you or your allies finish them off.

Good guide, Thumbs up.

I prefered going: boots, vampiric > wriggles, merc-treads, giants belt, sheen, phage, zeal > trinity force, warmogs, atmas impaler, last whisper, sell wriggles for blood thirster.

This basically changed frozen mallet to a last whisper (last item), then selling wriggles for blood-thirster late game for more damage. Overall good guide.

I don't think this is a good guide for Ezreal, because it spends way too much time building up in the beginning. I don't feel like I can do reasonable damage until I've built the Atma's, and I often don't even get there because it takes so long. So I spend a large portion of the game henpecking at enemy, wishing I could be more threatening, and running away every time I come under attack (because despite being "tough", my lack of damage output makes it impossible for me to stand and face my enemies).

Granted, the end result is a surprisingly durable champion which can both take damage and dish it out, and which feels refreshing for Ezreal who's often built so fragile. But it just isn't FUN. I feel bored most of the game, like I'm waiting for the payoff that sometimes doesn't come.

May I suggest either trying to work in a +gold item early to get the items faster overall, or pulling more damage upgrades to the front so that we can better balance damage and durability in the early and mid games?

I like to play Ezreal all the time so I like to use this build if my team is too squishy. So thanks.

bruser ezreal works quite well it allows you to take much more punnishment while still deal alot of damage you might not get as many kills but you die alot less and get many more assists also you last alot longer in team fights.

also a great idea in a team without a tank

First off, I love novelty, and don't hate when people try to discover something new with a champion. I play jungle Ez from time to time to bring a second AD carry into the game for extremely burst oriented ganks. But, that's another story.

People are ignoring the fact that Ezreal is meant to be a DPS. This build is addressing the squishyness to a point where you completely lose out on damage. Your early game is pretty nonexistent with this build, and so is your mid and late game for that matter, since you're hardly doing any damage. TF as your first big item on Ez means you lack a lot of damage, and that isn't helped by the fact that the only other damage item afterwards is a Frozen Mallet. Not to say you shouldn't build defense, but why build completely tanky around a character that has long range and a blink?

Ezreal is a character that relies on high burst damage and mobility, and this build doesn't acknowledge any of his strengths. Why bring a Warmog's Atma's to the team on this character? Does this build require you to go top? Do you need another AD carry on your team? Try to answer some of these questions.
