Seriously, the difference is incredible (with AS marks). I just out-DPS'd a Tryndamere and a Jax just by putting some of my earlier points in E instead of W. Try it out, it's amazing.

Something worth considering switching your core skilling order too. Duff is behind me on this one.

You're right, but it's still pretty situational. Against most melee it usually is better to max E first to win trades, against some opponents it's better to max W first.
Though thinking about it I probably end up maxing E first in most lanes so I'll probably change it.

About the Philosopher's Stone, I like it because it's cheap, pays for itsself and gives some nice extra regen which is always useful. Though I should add that I will never get this before resistance or armor if I really need it in lane.

I'm probably changing the Doran's Ring start as I really never use it anymore, usually end up starting with boots, regrowth or cloth armor.

I lied, i rush Wit's End.

Wriggles is for when i jungle cho.

I still wouldn't bother. Max E and he's stupid fast even without wriggle's, and his sustain is still very high. It works a bit better than it would in lane, but it's far from necessary.

The ward is nice though.

If you replace Wit's End with Infinity Edge, you would get crit'gath, he is annoying as hell, too.

My standard build:

Item Sequence

Mercury's Treads
1200

Philosopher's Stone
700

Glacial Shroud
1350

Negatron Cloak
720

Frozen Heart
3000

Force of Nature
2610

Recurve Bow
950

Wit's End
2200

Atma's Impaler
2300

Warmog's Armor
2830

Unbeatable high AD, Armor, Mres and HP.

Very nice guide, but why philosphers stone? let's say a match takes 40 mins = 2400 seconds = 1200g => substracts 800 from that (the cost of philo stone) => leaves 400g, would you really delay your early game for a tiny 400g, which is just 15 minion kills, when you're not planning on building something from it?

+rep me if I helped or if you liked my comment, if not, +rep the ones who did.

It gives you some hp and mana regen as well, which is always helpful considering the item pays for itsself. I don't always get it though, whenever I need early armor or magic resist I don't really bother with it. (I have a note on this in the items section)

Best Cho guide I've seen on the site, +1.

It feels a little low on health though.

Great guide! Good format, good feel, good info - Loved the sections covering typical SoloTop opponents and especially the Jungling. I've always felt that Cho was viable in jungle with that True Dmg Ulti and CC capabilities.

Also, thanks for giving some props to Ryze in the SoloTop opponents section. Even though he is the favorite champion of AlexIch (the mid laner and captain of M5 - they just won Kiev), he often gets hated on by my solo queue teammates who have no clue.

+1
