INTRODUCTION:
Okay, yesterday Season One started and it got me excited about building teams. I'm still working on my 5-man team, but I thought I could carve out a 3 person team faster. This is my first guide, so bear with me and please don't rate down without commenting first. I'm probably at a mid or low ELO right now, so if my advice or strategy needs work, please be constructive ^_^. The items/masteries/skill order fro Mundo and Jax was heavily influenced from the guides of FiatVictrix and BigDowny so I wanted to give them credit for their hard work and research to find the best combinations. I may have made an adjustment here from their original guide.

CHAMPION SELECTION:
For this team I have selected Zilean, Mundo, and Jax. I have never had this team composition, it's just sounds good in theory to me. The only missing element is some heals, but IMO isn't as needed as in 5s, plus you have Zil's Ult and speed boost to assist with close calls. Mundo can regenerate on his own, and against heavy DPS teams Jax can hold his own.

SUMMONER SPELLS:
Zilean: Call me a noob, but I usually grab Heal and Exhaust. Heal is pretty decent for him pretty much throughout the game, as I usually don't get too many HP items. The slow from exhaust is alright for Zillean, but the blind is amazing against any dps. Most spells add utility for Zillean, but I like to make him a little more tanky.

Mundo: Mundo goes where he pleases, so he gets Rally to push and take towers, and Exhaust (because it's great). Ghost could get him escape ability (as if he needs it) and ignite could score a kill, but he's got the cleaver. He has too much health to make use of Heal.

Jax: For Jax I picked up Exhaust and Ignite (I'm a huge fan of Exhaust). Ghost or Cleanse are also good picks for him.

MASTERIES:

PLAYING THE GAME:
Early Game: Zillean will solo top with Mundo and Jax laning the bottom. Neither lane should attempt a gank, just play defensive at first and gain exp and gold from last hits. Zillean is excellent at 3s, being able to harass Champs away from last hits and pushing the tower. he should be aware of gank attempts, but otherwise keep pushing and bombing away at the champ in top lane.

Mundo's cleaver should help harass, while Jax uses leap strike. Both characters are physical dps, but both have initiating moves and Mundo has his cleaver to attack from range.

Mid Game: By midgame (6-12) the team should have a slight level advantage (Zil's passive) and a few kills, and have gone back once or twice to pick up boots + an item or two. Mundo and Jax should be going to get Lizard buff and by the end of mid-game group should take dragon. Zillean should still be able to hold top, unless the other team has started to group in 3's. By the end of mid, the team should pretty much run in a pack and Zilleans role will become more support that pusher. Mundo should initiate and push, with jax to clean up the kills, using Zil's bombs/slow to help take them down, maybe a speed boost to chase the last hit. There's always chronoshift for a bad situation and Mundo's Ult can save him from certain death.

Late Game: By this time 12+ Zillean will be nearly full support, throwing double bombs on squishiest targets, but otherwise using his speed/slow and chrono to keep pushing forward. Mundo and jax will take out towers, making sure to kill Lizard and Dragon on spawn. Once the inhibitors are down a last blue pill and sweep of jungle should be enough to overwhelm them.
