Introduction

this is my guide to the more advanced caitlyn player who like to try something new, this is not an in dept guide. i suggest u try to get some experience and timing with caitlyn before u attempt to master her. if u got the hang of it this guide will get your playstyle even more easy! with this setup i play ranked games and simply dominate mid for now. (my elo is not high yet). also this is my first guide ever made ;)

Runes

i use this rune setup bequase i love early game domination and the armor pen from my runes masteries and items together simply shreds more than 50 armor, wich means u shred trough the squishy champs like paper!

i chose my armor seals because they help u block the damage from minions when u autoattack your opponent while charged with headshot. i can't realy say that i've found any other decent replacements for these runes.

i use mr over level glyphs for some resistance against enemy's later in game. i have had an suggestion that they can be replaced with mp/5 runes so u can always take an health pot on early game and still harass alot.

explanation item build 1:

simply said: i'm assuming u have some experience with caitlyn and know how she works. the game is looking good for u, u are fighting annie or another extreme squishy champ on the midlane. i take mana pot over health pot because i can harras far beyond the range of my opponent. i shoo my opponent back to his turret several times or maybe he get's to agressive so u dominate your lane (in my case this happens 9 out of 10 games, trust me). at level 6 your opponent is below

Skill Sequence

my skills are as following: q/w/q/e/q/r/q/w/q/w/r/w/w/e/r/e/e i max out Piltover Peacemaker i think this doesn't need any explanations. next comes my trap, i chose to max out my trap second because as an ranged u prefer to keep enemy's at distance and i prefer an trap over an slow and 280 damage in 1.5 sec isn't nothing! also it doesn't knock you out of firing range so you can keep harassing the opponent. the trap is very usefull, in ranked most of the time it replaces my wards on the midlane. in my experience an enemy jungler always stand about in the middle of the brush before coming in. so with 1 trap at every side of the mid brush u have an 90% secure lane vs ganks. and also u keep one trap for harassing and nailing your opponent down.

next maxed is your ultimate, this is in my opinion one of the hardest punishing ultimates ever made, in the various games i played vs an squishy lane opponent it was just LOL to set a trap, lure him in, fire one piltover peacemaker, some autoattacks untill he drops below 300 hp @ lvl 6, 550-600hp @ lvl 11 and below 1k hp @ level 16. this damage is just incredible and the range is great aswell. my biggest hit ever made with this skill is around 1300 damage on an enemy master yi with 70 armor.

last comes the 90 caliber net. i take one point at level 3 or 4 and leave it there untill level 14. this skill is great to have as an extra escape mechanic and slow when placed correct. thje damage and slow from this skill are great aswell but with my playstyle i just prefer traps over more damage from the net.
