Tips for playing Caitlyn
- Take a side lane to start off with if there is someone else that can do well in mid. Caitlyn is more effective in those lanes because the brush is closer to the creep waves.
- Take advantage of brush whenever you can for more headshots per attack and hiding traps.
- Never be the first one into battle in a team fight. Always have someone else, preferably a tank, lead the way.
- Try to stay with a teammate whenever you can. If you are by yourself, always be aware of your surroundings and constantly monitor the minimap.
- Peacemaker can be used to scout brush or behind objects for enemies. It will make a distinctive sound when it hits an enemy; alerting you to their presence.
- 90 Caliber Net can be used to pass through thin walls. Stand beside the wall and fire it in the opposite direction you want to go.
- Remember that Ace in the Hole can be intercepted by another enemy champion. Don't use it to lead off an attack unless it will hit the enemy after your teammates engage.
- Yordle Traps can be very effective if used correctly. Stick them in brush to the sides of you while you push a lane to help prevent being ganked. If your close to a fleeing enemy you can use one to stun him if placed properly. If a nearby teammate is being chased by an enemy you can use one to help him escape.
